VanguardDLKAight, I know I said I'd be checking this thread in "an hour or two" but I got done with what I was doing faster than I expected and I'm impatient. After reading the posts I will actually be invoking my "choose whoever I want" clause because a) I'm a complete sucker for cool collections and b) I've always got a soft spot for another writer, so Koncept gets it.

cl_hud_playerclass_use_playermodel 1 is probably the closest thing that I can think of that will help with this

it won't be exactly like the screenshots that you had posted but it will display a 3d image of your current character in a certain place on your HUD, depending on what HUD you're using

ZeRo5Stop beeing toxic, trying out new stuff is what we need. The 6s meta we have isnt perfect, it has always had a stale meta and experimenting with new formats never hurts. Just try and be more constructive with your critisism rather than just say "this shit is stupid"

Some people aren't exactly meaning to be toxic, but trying to reinvent the wheel (figuratively) at this point isn't going to get you anywhere really. Had this been tried when competitive tf2 was in its infancy stages, you'd likely have a better response. But at this point, it's very likely in the best of all parties to support 6v6 instead of a new mode.

-Which values make them skinnier?
-Which values make them shorter?
When I was altering the ones in the hud that I was making I used this video tutorial by Rays

I don't have my files in front of me right now to confirm these things unfortunately but I think these fields are what correspond to what you're asking
  • further away from the crosshair - start/end radius
  • thinner - maximum/minimum width
  • shorter - maximum/minimum height

Sweet, I have one more question:

The more damage I take, does it make the indicators both wider and longer?

Not as far as I'm aware. Taking damage from multiple sources will create more indicators though.

While I point blank det a sticky on me it does look a bit wider than if I were to step back some feet and then det, but maybe that is just my eyes deceiving me

It's possible I'm wrong about that but considering the fact that I have modified damage indicators in my hud so I likely may not be seeing what you're seeing

#37 Any things that for some reason help you play in TF2 General Discussion

There has to be some form of airflow I'm my room otherwise when I get too hot I've found that I don't play as well. It can't be too cold as well because when I'm that way I miss super easy shots

Also I like to swap between pipes/iron bomber or original/cow mangler/rocket launcher whenever I feel like I'll play the best on a certain one

RacsoOne thing that stood out for me when just running around was this jump you can do as a scout from trash to battlements. Not sure if it was intentional or how big of a impact it has but it seems neat regardless.
