i get it could be more people are mad that maps that were playtested extensively were removed for newer maps that haven't been tested enough but god damn the least you can do is type "hi i don't like this, here's why" to the fucking thread after b4nny and phi have constantly asked to provide some feedback

liasDon't vote in maps that haven't been tested, mapmakers don't get offended, ESEA doesn't go to shit. Easy.
Maps don't get serious testing outside of leagues. It's a catch 22.

I had to go in to work super early (I usually work from 1PM to 1AM, so getting there at 6AM was way early) to go tour some of our other facilities and my boss forgot, so my other boss told me to go home.
I smiled because instead of touring a bunch of stuff all day like a zombie I got to go home and go to bed.
You find out, you let me know. Getting testing is always the hardest part, I've found.
I did have a lot of luck with ETF2L and getting mixes run on maps, they're usually game to try anything - you might look around and see if you can find any prem players willing to help.

Grizzle, I recommend playing 6's and gaining friends that play 6's.... most of my early testing came from asking a number of friends to come play on my maps on my server. Once I had enough attention, then I could get bigger groups / higher caliber players to test.
Not that I've ever made a map worth a shit, but I've found ways to try them....

SirCupcakewow, that was incredibly quick! Can't wait to try it tomorrow. Only thing I noticed by looking at it is how the little wooden planks that go up onto mid point are missing.

I seemed to recall someone said get rid of them, but I wouldn't be shocked if that wasn't the opinion of everyone. Easy fix if you guys want that added.

Alright, after a billion + 1 problems later... here it is, "new" logjam, cp_logjam_mix1
Features:
- RC2a last, lobby, saw, main choke
- Most of RC2a's detailing throughout the map (I backdated RC2a structure wise to meet B19 overall)
- B19's cave, logroom, upper lobby exit, 2nd point, middle point
Note: I'm not considering this to be RC anymore. I basically got the map functioning and it still has a fair amount of detail, which is good. But there's Z fighting here and there, light leaking through displacements, a couple broken textures, etc. I'll fix that if the layout works out, there's nothing gamebreaking in there at the moment.

Ran into about a billion problems with the map compiling (joy oh joy) but it's almost ready for a test version. Probably have it uploaded later tonight (GMT -8:00 / pacific time) for testing tomorrow I suppose.

Take a look thru this imgur album, I've kinda got red side bastardized between RC2A and B19. Biggest questions I have right now are do we use b19 or RC2a's logroom and upper lobby exit onto 2nd, the rest of it I feel pretty good about. No playable version yet, this map looks like frankenstein at the moment...
b19 layout with rc2a last / lobby + catwalk from the recent version ? That's actually probably not too hard to do. I'll see what magic I can work. Keep your eyes peeled.
