PapaSmurf323Lets get a couple things clear
ESEA is uploading binaries from flagged accounts for cheating so they can reverse engineer them. They need kernel access to detect organner style cheats. Vac can upload files and send them to valve. Better boycott valve as well guys.
http://www.unknowncheats.me/forum/anti-cheat-bypass/99787-yet-another-vac3-module.html#post844872
The ESEA Monitoring Code was approved because of the pressure from the cs community to detect organner. It fits the timetable of when it was approved.
lets not forget that tf2 community was not effected by bitcoin mining.
raped with ease
- Settle off court with a statement that clearly says that the company had access to the players computer and personal files at any time.
- Never mention it on ESEAs official statement
- Ban anyone who mentions it or criticises no explanation on that matter on their site
- Not even trying to refute that statement
Yeah let's puts blind trust in ESEA again, just one more opportunity guys, please it's the love of my life, I can't find anyone that loves me more than ESEA, it will get better i promise.
God dammit you guys are masochists
hookyArcadeI meant split the maps up into 2 matches against different teams.hookyI like the 2 map a week thing, but I also like having 2 matches a week. Would it be possible to look into this format?
Once the week schedules are out there's nothing to stop you from scheduling two matches a week. ETF2L just tells you who you have to play against.
It has been said before that's impossible atm due to limitations with the website, the backend is a bit of a clusterfuck and the system is designed with this ruleset in mind.
I don't know if splitting the maps against different teams would be doable or even worth it? Whats the point after all? You end up playing all the same matches at the end, just end up having double the effort scheduling double the officials than what you have now.
hookyI like the 2 map a week thing, but I also like having 2 matches a week. Would it be possible to look into this format?
Also, considering that most people want to switch to ETF2L (with CEVO close behind), a new league isn't going to work, which means that what IARENOBODY's team was planning is likely pointless. However, would you consider bringing them on board to improve the league? I would be down to admin, but if someone more qualified wants to do it, then (s)he is probably a better bet, as long as the admin is North American.
Perm has already said that if a NA ETF2L was to happen they would need 3-4 volunteers for the admin team. CEVO would likely need someone to help I think.
Making a league maybe would be a great option but it's a monster of a task right now, making a league from the ground up is a steep mountain to clim.
Also, how do you want 2 matches a week with 2 maps each if people were complaining that even 1 map per week was too much? Essentially how the EU ruleset works is exactly like that, it's 2 maps in 1 match because it is exactly 2 matches in 1 so to say, if you win both maps you get 6 points, if you lose 1 map and win another you get 3 points and another team gets 3 points as well, just as any game of football (soccer) would be in terms of points.

~40000 competitive players in Europe? Would like to know how many of those have played in more than one match though.
Didn't you hear the news? The scene is dead. That's just phrakture alts.
enigmaKanecoETF2L has grown steadily over the past years despite being a community run free to play league, CEVO hasn't grown because people ditch it in favor of ESEA.yeaaaah none of this true
modeling the NA community after the dead european one is a good idea because ..?
Fair enough, I edited that out after I spoke to an etf2l admin and confirmed it. It hasn't grown but it isn't dead either. There were more than 300 teams signed up for the 6v6 league this season, that's at least 1800 players this season alone.
And I'm sure valve would be much more inclined or hinted to support a fully community run league than a business.
TheManWithNoName
wait, there is only one LAN in all of EU?
Apart from iseries there is no other fully european lan. All the other lans are local/national lans by the local communities ie: russian pixling lan, french lan, portuguese community lan. But these lans are rather small and only local people play.
PlatinumSo show me an adequate plan that suggests growth and stabilization of the game and ill support it, but I'm not creating it for you. And x3 time to shut the fuck up. Unless you're going to contribute.
ETF2L has already shown explicit support for the idea of a NA division and CEVO has shown very interested in welcoming new players as well as well as UGC.
Both ETF2L and CEVO have prizepools, albeit smaller they are compensated by being free to play leagues.
You should not take this issue that lightly if you truly care about the game, because whether you want it or not you're one of the best players in the game as are many other invite players and people will look up to you invariably so it would be good if after this season lan some invite players/teams really took a stance and made a decision where to settle, but if you wanna keep riding that ESEA horse, I'm afraid you will be riding it alone (possibly with no lan). Multiple people have been banned 10 years for simply questioning the admins, influent community members and sponsors have publicly dropped the support for the league and everyone is fed up with what has been happening, the malware on the client was the last straw.
chojjeYay!
Thanks to everyone who's helped me out over the years - without the support of the competitive community from day one, this wouldn't have happened.
Don't be afraid to keep sending feedback, who knows what the future holds in store.

As I said on another thread "I feel the map was still a WIP? I mean, the author itself stated he was still looking to improve and to be honest while I liked a lot the latest changes I feel theres a lot of unpolished stuff? I hope the final versioon was slightly reworked from g7"
Are there any changes to the final version compared to g7 and will you still be able to update it in the future?
Star_KnightThe only feature that other leagues do not have(AFAIK) when compared to ESEA is the automatic stats and stv server/stvdemo/povdemo systems. I think if we move leagues we should push for similar systems, as those systems helped attribute to how competitive the teams in ESEA are.
It's one of my top reasons why I'm in ESEA and not UGC 6s.
As for the stats in Europe 90% of us use TFTrue which automatically uploads logs to logs.tf, and you can view them ingame with the !log command, it's kinda a non-issue, the only think is that logs are not automatically linked in match pages, but most of the time players from the teams themselves past them on the match comments.
As for the STV/pov demo thingies, yeah, for the lower division no one really uploads demos and the etf2l site would blow up if everyone did, but premiership (the highest div) has a rule in place that requires every match to have STV demos uploaded
PlatinumCommunity wants to abandon esea to join xx league for "fun competition", we offclass to have fun and prolong a match, bring out the pitch forks. Do you see what happens when there is nothing to play for? For the rest of the esea season, no matter what we do our lan seed won't change. With nothing to play for, fun is the only option and therefore competition dwindles. Even after a few minutes 6 cuties joined in on the fun because - nothing mattered - exactly what will happen if some new league sprouts up that has no incentive to try your hardest.
I liked you and your team, but holy shit, just quit while you're ahead, sorry but that attitude is disgusting towards the community. I don't even mind the offclassing but that selfish whinny baby attitude is a shame...
Yeah right, like you guys did so much better with money on the line, epsilon wrecked the best NA team in i49 and all they have won in the past 6 seasons of ETF2L is fuckin headsets, are you even trying?
I'm curious to how a league can keep running with a prizepool and no fees without going bankrupt? Do you have any sweet sponsorship deals? Not trying to attack in anyway, just curious.
I think CEVO is the best option atm to ESEA (other than our beloved community run ETF2L) but I think if you keep contact with our userbase and community leaders in this transition period you might secure hundreds of potential players for your league. So all I'm saying is that if there's a chance to take the tf2 (NA) market, it is now. Otherwise someone else will step up to the job.
I myself think we would be better off supported by a community run league and not a for profit business, but you never know and I think your presence on the forums or your interaction with the community in these next couple of months could decide a lot.
IrishhhhNow if people came over to your league would you make more divisions...And if you did what would be the general layout of it be and how many teams would have to sign up generally. (sorry if this is a stupid question)
Pipher has stated in a previous thread in the begining of CEVO S3 that they would be interested in opening more divisions (ie: IM, INVITE) depending on the number of sign ups. Obviously they can't have 3 divisions with 7 active teams.
Are we finally gonna started moving towards matchmaking ? :D:D:D I would implode with hapinness..
And new achievements that are not event related, finally!
On a related note, congratulations for snakewater chojje, altough I feel the map was still a WIP? I mean, the author itself stated he was still looking to improve and to be honest while I liked a lot the latest changes I feel theres a lot of unpolished stuff? I hope the final versioon was slightly reworked from g7
