We reopened the vote. You can now vote again. It will remain open for a day.
Quindaliesea registration opened on january 17 and is "scheduled" to end on monday, feb 24 so that season will commence on sunday, march 2.
1) when can we expect rosters to be unlocked
2) how are team move ups working between divisions?
3) are there any major changes from last season eg whitelist/client
1) As soon as all matches are wrapped up, rosters will unlock.
2) It depends on how many teams are alive as well as other factors.
3) The new whitelist will be out in a couple weeks once Invite teams are set
Today is going to be the last day for applications.
Kalkin is unfortunately stepping down from his position as TF2 admin. It is a sad day but we must continue onward into the abyss. Anyways, I need another partner in crime. If you think you can fill Kalkin's shoes, send in an application.
- Name
- Alias ( Link to ESEA profile )
- Experience
- What will make you a great admin?
- What's one change you'd like to see to ESEA?
Fill that out and send it over to j.oksenhendler@esportsea.com. I'll pick out the top prospects and we'll have an interview to decide who it will be. Best of luck to all applicants.
GrImpartialDid anyone miss their flights?
Xalox's flight was at 4pm and the match went till 3:30. Not sure what ended up happening with him.
MangachuYawnyI'm four years behind the legeal drinking ageMangachuIs anyone here yetwhy aren't you hungover with him
My dad got drunk with cs players last night so he's hungover in bed
Also my dad is slightly depressing when he's drunk
Edit- also does anyone know if the only way I can grt a headset is from bestbuy? My microphone wouldn't fit in the luggage
Do we get to meet papachu?
same squid and i'm going through toronto. what's your flight number?
AJrr-Still waiting for cevo to give us an update they promised in last December / January. This, though it was said somewhere in January after people get settled in from the holidays, which has long passed.
Killing, what would happen if a large amount of players left ESEA and played CEVO? Let's say 1/2 to 3/4 of open and a few teams from IM/Main/Invite move to CEVO. What would happen the the divs higher than open?
When 1.6 dropped, we had to consolidate to only open but I can't see TF2 becoming that bad. I don't think anything disastrous will happen in the near future but I'd have to see the number of teams first.
MarxistHere are killing, generally, a list of things people would like:
- Better/more stats and stat tracking (see sizzling stats) and also some of the things that now suddenly don't work (like scatter frag counters, etc).
- Website navigation (it's really strange trying to look at previous season right now for example).
- Why not use the pug servers to test maps before we vote on them as opposed to voting by band wagon (it's a win win for ESEA because people play on the pug servers, and maybe we'll get a 7th good map; why, you could even make a day or special event out of it).
- Clear cut start dates that are announced well in advance.
- Some system to allow a small number of matches to fall into other weeks under special emergency circumstances which are not issued generally by ESEA (such as at the start of this season and the client issues).
- Odd lag at the start of matches should be worked on.
- Ddos protection for the server and actions against those who ddos or at least make public that somebody at ESEA called *some* sort of legal authority to report being attacked and losing real revenue.
- A cursory glance at what has happened with server box routing or at least an explanation (I used to get like 20 ping to esea chi servers and now I'm 40 ms :/ - I know remedy and many others have worse problems).
- The creation of some sort of temporary repository for STV demos. It's kinda sad that every season just gets deleted entirely or even just the creation of a sx.rar that would be available for download for a short period after every season, they could even make it a torrent if they wanted to.
that's at least my take on it, and what I'm given to understand, most of the people I associate with would like
-I've sent some stuff for stats off that should be implemented in the near future.
-What's weird about the previous seasons
-The new maps idea is a good one that we'll look into
-Can you go into detail about the weird lag at the start of the match. If you have a match in mind or a certain server, that'd be great.
-We're looking into ideas for the STV demos repository.
remedycan i not get 70-90 ping to dallas servers when i live in dallas please
Lights_Oh my god the servers, please.
Pinging 100-120 in Dallas is a little ridiculous.
Here are some tips if you're having trouble with routing to certain servers:
JackyLegsWill there be another season of ESEA Europe? and if so, will you create more divisions to it?
Yes. The goal is to have another division in europe if we can get more teams. The divisions all depends on the number of teams.
Foxby hiring a completely new team for maintaining the client, do you mean you guys fired the old team completely or have they just been relocated
i find it hard to support any company that willingly does what they did to their customers
it feels like a lot of people don't understand what they could have done with the information they had access to, especially if you do anything like paypal transactions, online banking, or confidential work on the computer you used to play esea in
some people don't care too, which amazes me
i have nothing against the tf2 admins that work for esea, but i'd really prefer to support a league that doesn't take advantage of their customers in the way that esea did
The previous client developer was fired, not relocated, and then ESEA took time to find someone who is capable of doing that specialized role, but now we have a team of people. ESEA has put controls and policies in place to ensure that this doesn't happen again and continues to go through steps to ensure that everything is operated responsibly.
GeknaiirWill tf2 main stay even though there are fewer teams?
It really depends on the number of teams remaining. I really hope that we can and I will work my ass off to get enough teams to ensure it.
