oh well, I was right for about 2 min... lol. At least I was right about Tri Hards bricking and Enigma outplaying Clockwork.

In general this would be cool for casters during pregame. They could talk about how X demo dies a lot but deals TONS of damage, or about how X scout tends to play poorly on X map, etc.
Interesting stuff. This is something I'd bet the whole community would benefit from.

RR effectively heals 225 hp per shot now, and deals enough damage to be a combat weapon. If only I could have used this with badwater spawn builds.
ToastyTHTHoping that the winger sees some usage.

I think scouts can get on nipple now.
MapleKoobadoobsnull^ what??That takes us to when Trihards hold their last. I can't say that Boomer is a reliable offclasser cause I just don't know him well enough, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see Trihards put clock on sniper for holding/attacking last and keep everyone else on main classes all the time.
It's refreshing to see someone give an in-depth explanation. That being said, I think you're underestimating Boomer's heavy/offclassing play. Boomer on heavy is pretty standard for Tri Hards. Boomer to carry.
Oh, really? Yeah, like I said I don't know him that well. Even so, that doesn't get Tri hards any round wins, just better defense. My pred remains unchanged. :) I hope I'm right haha.
SherbWhy? Why do people keep bumping this shit?
Please just let the thread die already.
They did say 64 items, not 64 hats/miscs... that's a good sign, right?
Please?
New weapons?
Please?

null^ what??
What?
That's my prediction.
Gullywash is the only map with a more turtley last than snakewater, with possibly too much room for heavy and pyro play. The offclasses make or break a hold here. Enigma is hands down the best offclasser in Invite right now. He's the best pyro (eh, maybe bloodsire's better, debateable), and he's a great heavy. Harb's got the spy plays (difficult to make a pred based on something like this, but it's got to be a factor when you're looking at this map), and if enigma wants to fulltime pyro Harb can play heavy perfectly well too. Dabes can snipe; if I'm him right now I'd be grinding sniper MGE/pubs until I'm confident, and I think Dabes can compete with Clockwork if Dabes is feeling good.
Mix^ is a team that doesn't lose its last point to anything short of miraculous sniper plays or a mistake from Smaka. Clockwork is definitely the guy to watch to make those two things happen. Look at the Trihards v HRG match. Clockwork was not playing great. 15/24 is not great for the #1 scout in the world. I don't know if he's gonna be on his game for this match, but if he's even a little bit off, there's no chance for TriHards to break through Mix^'s last point 5 times in one hour of play. Mix^ is gonna have some great holds and some great pushes from last-to-last.
That takes us to when Trihards hold their last. I can't say that Boomer is a reliable offclasser cause I just don't know him well enough, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see Trihards put clock on sniper for holding/attacking last and keep everyone else on main classes all the time. That's not a winning strategy on this map. Plat will out-uber Tri any day, so Dummy will probably have to get the ubers unless Trihards want to take a big risk letting Plat go crazy (spoiler alert: he is the best in NA at taking advantage of a good uber, don't give it to him). I think that a dummy uber could also go really badly for Trihards though. He can't keep traps up on last if he's the first line of defense against Plat, and that opens up Enigma/Harbleu backcaps. I just don't see a way for Trihards to reliably hold last for more than one or two pushes, and they almost certainly won't be pushing out successfully.
The midfights and attacks on second point aren't going to be important in this match. The games will be won and lost by offclasses and last-point holds. If Trihards can put together a last point defense that doesn't force dummy away from the point, I might be wrong about a Mix^ victory, but this game looks like a back and forth match that will appear way more close than it is: it's going to be Mix^ in control 90% of the time with clockwork taking advantage of the other 10% to take a couple rounds. We'll see one team go to last, and the other will domino cap all the way back, rinse-repeat-etc. Mix^ will end up taking any round that Smaka doesn't drop uber in.
If I'm wrong with my earlier pred, then I'm probably overestimating Trihard's ability to win rounds. They could easily end up with 2 or less points on this map if they screw up. But either way I don't think the nature of gullywash allows Mix^ to push off their own last quickly enough to win 5 rounds unless this match is a huge roll. It'll be a 4-3 or a 4-2, with Mix^ winning, unless Clockwork goes huge and carries to victory. Yes, this is a scout map, so it's a great place for clockwork to shine, but I like enigma's odds on this map, and either way nothing matters on this map except last. Blaze can make all the plays in the world at mid, but it doesn't get a round win unless clockwork follows it up with an entry pick on last.
It's easy to bet in favor of clock, but I'm counting on this match showing how much more consistent enigma is over clockwork. They're both in the top 3 of scouts in the world, so it could go either way. This matchup is gonna be huge in this game, and I'm gonna go with enigma this time.
So, like I said:
Mix^ wins, 4-3.
Can one of my -fraggers give an argument for why Trihards should win? :)

Goat_great write-up, was expecting a picture of a HRG member with a hat on though.
Edit: was the r5 vs AG match casted anywhere? and if so are any VODs up?

Good luck, and thanks for the unforgettable match against Mix^.
WaldoIn all honesty, you have to look at the fact that long prison sentences (15y<) actually cost a lot for the government that is instituting them. The same goes for rehabilitation efforts. This is probably the only reason why I would condone the death penalty, simply because, if I were convicted of murder, and it was legally obvious that I did it, I would rather die then spend the next 60 years [≈ average human life expectancy at birth (2011 estimate)] of my life in a prison, then die in one.
That's just a normal prison, high- and maximum security prisons, as well as solitary confinement are some of the most inhumane things in existence. People don't function well without other people.
Though rehabilitation is a good concept, makes sense and the number of people in prisons, as well as crime rates do see a decrease with rehabilitation programs in action, rehabilitation programs open up an even more "revolving door" type criminal justice system, the more relaxed a system there is, the more reason for someone who's been to a prison before to go back than to get a job. This isn't entirely an argument against human morals, but it has to be considered.
tl;dr Replace hopelessly long prison sentences with the death penalty because I'm a cynical idiot.
These aren't reasons to murder murderers. These are reasons to have a 100x better law enforcement system that PREVENTS crime rather than discouraging it.
TrotimIncarceration with rehabilitation through (psycho)therapy and education. If they do have a mental disorder stopping them from being helpful to society regardless then keep them locked up but research them
