#36 A poll on 6v6 rules in TF2 General Discussion

Before we get too far down a road we can't go back from...

The main purpose of this particular poll is to find out player's opinions on the particulars of the rules, I haven't even attempted to take into consideration what spectators would want.

While spectator opinions may not carry the same weight as that of player opinions, it will be something to keep in mind. But ideally I would like to utilize some information from Twitch John first to get a better idea of where the research needs to go.

#4 Why is Payload bad in 6s? in TF2 General Discussion

Not enough players available to push the cart AND attack the other team, you're stuck doing one thing or the other.

#6 Recent onset twitch lag in Off Topic
KohakuTwitch chat straight up doesn't load for me whatsoever anymore. I guess it could be my university internet, but I'm pretty sure it didn't work for me at home either.

I guess it doesn't matter much considering twitch chat is home to the dumbest people on planet Earth, but it is annoying considering that I can't see my chat when I stream myself.

You'll probably want to set up your IRC client to plug into your stream's chat, much easier than going through the web app.

There's a tutorial somewhere around here for it...

#4 A poll on 6v6 rules in TF2 General Discussion
narfI don't think the average tftv forum goer should have much input in the future rules of 6v6

Perhaps so, but I see no harm in collecting the data. Who doesn't love data?

#1 A poll on 6v6 rules in TF2 General Discussion

As a follow through to the discussion on Episode 3 of Fully Charged Europe, I thought it might be worth it to collect some data on what people would want in a Unified 6v6 Rule set era. So I've created a form for people to vote on individual parts of a potential rule set.

This poll is 100% CLOSED! Thanks for your responses, expect some pie charts in a bit!

Some early Pie charts can be found on page 3: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/12084-a-poll-on-6v6-rules/3#post-88

#5 TFTV Laggy for anyone else? in Off Topic

It's probably because everybody refreshes too often when a drama thread pops up.

#27 Fully Charged Europe Episode 3 in Events

It was a nice idea for a discussion but based off of what I was able to watch (1st half) there didn't seem to be a really cohesive avenue of discussion. More or less it was a lot of people in the twitch chat had a position staked out already (myself included), so the noise factor kinda threw some things off.

#47 Help people block ad by making ads in Off Topic
ToastyTHTJust waiting for every site to have hulu-esque ads as they are unblockable.
Or imagine having a 15 second ad every time you view a page.

Or worse, companies lobby for Adblock software to be banned outright because they inevitably cannot keep ahead of Adblock. Defense, whether it be trying to make your ads unblockable or trying to keep adblock legal, is never a winning proposition.

#65 Tip of the Hats 2 Planning/Info in TF2 General Discussion
capnfapnI have an idea!

SUPER SMASH FORTRESS CAMPAIGN MODE

This would basically be a tf2 adaptation of the classic mode in ssbm. An invite team would try and make their way through a bunch of gimmicky opponents on various levels. Since the invite team will only have 6 people on it, lots of viewers can play at the same time. The cool thing about this is that people get to watch high level players deal with weird stuff, and you could get viewers to donate in order to play against them.

Here are some "stages" i thought of.
1. invite team vs bat only scouts. cp_dustbowl.
2. invite team vs plog m+m1 pyros. cp_granary
3. invite team vs shotgun only heavies. cp_badlands.
4. invite team vs battlemedics. cp_gravelpit
5. invite team vs minisentry engies. cp_snakewater.

problems with this idea that I can think of:
1. people not playing as they're supposed to. hopefully having to donate to participate will lessen the number of hilarious trolls xd

Can the boss fight be a Invite-caliber Superteam made by fanvote?
