Practice, and a lot of it.
Start with surf servers, that'll teach basic air strafing movements.
Next, find an MGE server that'll let you play as medic against soldiers and demos.

yukiIf something is only interesting, and not practical, what's the point of it? >_>
And we're playing a game where the hats are only interesting, not practical.
RIP Set bonuses.
Anyways, I'm surprised this hasn't been done more often. I would figure that it'd be very practical for certain people to be able to easily swap a few parts around and make it difficult to trace the device as a whole. If anything else this is a nice proof-of-concept, I just can't imagine the general public wanting to mess with a Kerbal-style cell phone.
KillingI'll answer all the questions in this thread that we didn't speak about... eventually.
In Valve Time, obviously?
4812622i was under the impression that once they know you have a spy, you are completely useless?
That's assuming your team is unable to take advantage of the enemy's paranoia, for a few moments after the escape they will have to spycheck to make sure he doesn't get another pick. At a minimum this will slow them down and give your team a little bit of momentum, at most it will provide a window to push into the enemy team while they're wasting time. Small note: a well-organized team will be better equipped to take this advantage.
BeaterLKincheloeThe Kunai basically allows a spy to gain health from backstabs. It does increase viability slightly but makes you EXTREMELY vulnerable by changing base health to 60.
I know what it does. I asked what it adds to the game
It adds by making a spy "sell" himself to the enemy team in order to make his pick, instead of running across the open ground hoping to make it.
The Cliff's Notes version: The Spy knows he doesn't belong in the enemy team. But if he can fool them into thinking he belongs long enough, he can maneuver into a position to make his pick AND get away. While it can be done with the stock knife the Kunai gives added incentive in the reduced health, if anybody sneezes on a Kunai spy he dies. So he has to avoid arousing suspicion before his pick attempt, his reward in exchange is gaining health. That allows him an opportunity to either get another pick or surf away on the damage thrown his way.
Is it all doable with the stock knife? Yes, however a death while carrying either knife has the same result: They know your team is a man down now. However if you escape with your life you become far more dangerous than before they knew you were a spy. And the Kunai makes it easier to get away after a successful pick than with the stock knife.

Is there any possibility of having a small Ultiduo tournament the Friday-night of LAN for fun or for a small amount of cash and prizes?
I'm sorry Hooky :(
BenroadsNot sure how they could possibly make a system for that due to the fact that most of the former invite/IM players who are in open are playing offclasses.
They'd have to modify the system to record what classes each player starts on.
If you do go the 3.5mm route, take a look into the USB adapter featured in the video I'm linking below. It might diffuse some of the issues with say the Mod Mic.
Which map will take GPit's place in the Open/IM/Main Finals lineup?
OblivionagerenxzenOblivionageNow that tagg and shade are gone who the fuck is going to record lan footage
http://www.youtube.com/user/lanskyirl
it's not the same. who will make fun of lansky
It would be Lansky's Revenge.
I actually use the cl_first_person_uses_world_model for melee and a few classes, mainly Medic. I've found that this is the best hybrid between having viewmodels On or Off, the world model stays out of the way but I can still check which medigun I've got out (I've been a self-inflicted victim of walking out with the wrong one many times).
klananaI feel like a proud mother =) Sponsored by iT not TF2Jump... but that doesnt mean you shouldn't visit TF2Jump.com - go now.
