turbine is a terrible map for 6v6 but the best map for DM
Mason and I have had many discussions about this and I'm glad he's finally bringing this issue to light
Blizzard really is creatively bankrupt
I mean this is geniune copyright infringement, no doubt about it. I really doubt C&C will do anything about except maybe send a cease and desist letter or something.
in no particular order, just what ive revisited the most over the year

i was pointing out your drastic change in tone from the beginning of this thread to where we are now
i get that you want to figure this out logically and find concrete proof in the guts of the game that shows crouching amplifies knockback, but when the thread starts out with statements like this:
Sherwoodfanupdate: he called me a fucking child and beyond retarded for making this thread and called this a shitpost, i'm trying to get a serious discussion going to tell him why it works that way
help
phxvyperIts fine to have preferences for gameplay; but, in the explicit scenario of getting denied by a scout while rocket jump, there is no clear difference between crouching and not crouching after rocket jumping.

who am I going to trust, someones feelings or the code that dictates the game theyre playing?
people are not going to react to you in a civil manner when the effect of crouching is so self-evident to any tf2 player with more than 100 hours
if you opened with something along the lines of "i recognize that the game works this way and the effects of crouching are easily reproducible, but nothing in the game code seems to explain this phenomenon. Does anyone know why this occurs? Is it a bug?", people would have been much more open to having an actual discussion
phxvyperThere's nothing in TF2 or Source's source code to indicate that knockback or air movement are affected by crouching.

I was literally asking for people to experiment, and i said multiple times that I wanted to run the experiment and in fact I did. Ondkaja was the one who actually wanted to answer the question, everyone else wanted to throw a hissy fit.
tf2 will melt your brain
