And maybe I'm misunderstanding, but this just seems like a big RNG for getting teams to push. If both teams are trying to farm the same NPC, I'm just seeing this turn into one big clusterfuck. Trying to kill each other, trying to kill the NPC... not to mention how one team could farm the guy down to 50 hp, the other team decides to push and manages to get the very last rocket on the guy and gets the buff. I don't like watching MOBAs, I don't know why it works there, but in TF2 it just seems like it would be a huge source of frustration more than anything.

probably because in other games you're generally able to assume when people say "this guy is probably the best player of all time" that they also look up to that guy

At least he gets some of his criticisms of the current situation right: trying to figure out class limits that aren't what the current scene uses sucks, and 5cp isn't perfect. But even on those I think his reasoning as to why those are problems is flawed. For one, like so many other competitive Redditors, he seems to think that the 6s scene loves 5cp because it loves 5cp, which just hurts my brain. He completely fails to examine why 5cp has taken a front seat to the different forms of A/D. This is especially frustrating because he goes on to say that 5cp's central problem is stalemates on last, even though that's all A/D is! One team turtles while the other panics about sacing people to beat it quickly or bringing out the sniper to beat it reliably. It's one last hold after another. And then once that stalemate breaks, it starts all over again on the next point. He says that the A/D games he plays are always so unpredictable--like he thinks that just because the pubbers in mm don't know how A/D is played, no one does. It's really a shame.

um and also he also says something about not liking 5cp because it's all he ever plays on valve mm, which is just... what?

His other claim is that class limits of one don't work because trolls. While that can be a problem, trolls aren't really going to be any less of a problem with a class limit of two. You're still down a dude all the time. The people who are bad enough to throw tantrums when they can't play heavy generally aren't all that good at heavy, either. In reality, the 1-limit doesn't work because (surprise!) stalemates. With people already on scout and soldier, the next classes picked (because they are the next closest to generalists) are heavy and sniper.

I also have to make the inevitable OW comparison and point out that even in pubs, OW has a limit of one now. Why on Earth does Dane think trolls aren't a problem with the 1-limit system there, but are here?

Someone on YouTube said he has a Mexican accent and now I can't unhear it. Like I never really expected the voice to be the same but whoever is doing the voice is making some strange choices.
