#13 ASUS VG248QE vs Benq XL2411Z in Hardware

so, even if i don't pretend to use lightboost, i should get the benq anyway because it's newer and has black equalizer technology?

are there any differences in those two besides that?

#26 Why pyro/heavy/engie suck? in TF2 General Discussion

you've probably never encountered a good soldier or demo while playing pyro then. when they get out of your "rocket spamming" comfort zone and actually think about their shots and can actually manage to shoot at your feet.

also would like to point out that you can easily kill a pyro if you two are not on the same ground level, with fast, surprise attacks. you're not supposed to run at him, with the pyro facing you. of course you're gonna get airblasted/ your projectiles reflected.

#23 Why pyro/heavy/engie suck? in TF2 General Discussion

i don't think people realize that a pyro in the competitive scene is not for everyone. sure, w+m1 pyros are incredibly annoying and stupid, and everyone hates them. but that's because you're playing on a valve server.
in order for someone to effectively use pyro in a comp match, you have to be really skilled. people ,for some reason, think it's insanely easy to reflect projectiles and be quick and accurate with your secondary. well, why don't you try it,then? you'll fail hard.

engineers, that you destroy his mini-sentry and he's already building another one, deserves to die.

and heavy is just pointless. standing there, trying to aim at people and +attack, and that's not how tf2 was supposed to work, it basically rules out the dynamic gameplay we get with the game.

#11 Lightboost? in Hardware
BooopRecently got the same monitor. I didn't notice any input lag with lighboost enabled.

just because you don't notice it, doesn't mean it's not there. and you can be sure that is affecting your game, whether you like it or not, it's a fact.

now, the thing is, some people may benefit more from the reduced motion blur while other people benefit more with minimum input lag, so which one are you? if you do not care with the big input lag you get and you just don't want any motion blur getting in your way, then sure, use lightboost.

#8 Lightboost? in Hardware

Honestly, i'm not worried about the colors because you can calibrate them, i'm more concerned regarding the input lag. apparently, lightboost adds a 2-5ms imput lag, which might be hard for you to distinguish the difference, but trust me, it's far from being irrelevant. Even with vsync off and no anti-aliasing, you're already receiving input lag from your lcd monitor itself (unless you use a CRT monitor) which is roughly 7ms. the input lag from lightboost makes the situation even worse, since it goes beyond 10ms, a sacrifice for sure.

i do not consider it worth it. just use 144hz and no lightboost and gg.
but hey, i'm not an expert, so don't take my opinion as a fact.
