#57 Invite Poll in TF2 General Discussion

It's 9 teams so that every team will play each other twice in the season to prevent teams getting fucked out of making LAN because they got scheduled against a "harder" team than someone else.

Meat Market/Mad Men is the obvious choice here. Do you really want bl4nk to just win IM again for like the fourth or fifth time?

#12 Pyro in 6's (LF Scrims) in TF2 General Discussion

I dunno why people get so mad over pyro. Yeah it's really obnoxious and dumb but honestly not that hard to deal with if you have like half a brain and if you don't have the powerjack (which is banned in like anything not UGC I think) you're at a pretty big mobility disadvantage. I mean if a pyro is really fucking up your team you should probably start ubering in your scouts or something, not much a pyro can do against an invincible scout other than just blow him back a few feet while the scout can still just shoot him without having to worry about getting it blow back at him.

I think full time pyro is a pretty dumb thing to do, but teams that just rage quit out of scrims because someone is doing it are even dumber.

DeerDidn't Crack Clan Yellow run Rabbit (I think it was him?) on pocket pyro for the majority of the season in open S15? You might be able to find some demos or something if you want to see some pros and cons if finding people to scrim against is difficult.

That was hooey and yeah it kinda worked because nobody really knows how to deal with pyros in open I guess and just get mad instead of actually doing something about it. lol

#1057 MAJOR TF2 update for 6/18/14 (6/19/14, Love & War) in TF2 General Discussion

Remove/nerf the wrangler into uselessness. Nerf gunslinger too.

But when's the last time Valve did anything with the engineer that wasn't a retarded buff?

#950 MAJOR TF2 update for 6/18/14 (6/19/14, Love & War) in TF2 General Discussion

I highly doubt that ESEA or CEVO would support a mod to revert the change, which they shouldn't imo.

#879 MAJOR TF2 update for 6/18/14 (6/19/14, Love & War) in TF2 General Discussion

Alright the thing is, regardless of how you feel about the nerf, this isn't just some unlock that can be banned away. It's a change to the core mechanic of a stock weapon. It's dumb that they waited 7 years to do something like this and it may or may not end up making the game worse or less fun. It's way too early to tell, but for now demos are just going to have to deal with it, like that is really all you can do despite how shitty that sounds.

It's pretty apparent from the games that have already been played that the old style of how demo was played just won't work nearly as well anymore. Players are going to have to change how they use stickies, or they're going to have to try a different secondary such as the ScoRes or a charge shield as the sticky nerf does make these much more viable than they were before. The main reason these things were never used is simply because stickies were so good that you were actively fucking your team over if you weren't using them. This is no longer the case. As much as it may suck to hear, people are just going to have to try different things for now.

It may get changed. Massive class changes like this have happened before, not for a very long time but they have and, almost all of them were tweaked within a few weeks/months. There's really no point in complaining about it anymore, for now you'll just have to get used to it, maybe they'll make stickies a little stronger in the near future. I mean, I guess you could email Valve or something, but good luck convincing them to revert it. A promod or using that TFTrue cvar that reverts the ramp up is not the way to go about this. As others have said, it's a guaranteed way to kill this game.

botmodehas anyone tested playing with QF with this change to demo??

i'm interested in the result..

Well considering that one of the counters to QF was kritz then the demo nerf would make QF even more poweful and dumb because you'd only be able to beat it with a heavy, sentry, or a trap. No thank you.

#25 ESEA S16 LAN in LAN Discussion

Yo if anyone needs or wants someone to room with at lan friday and saturday night, hit me up. I'm willing to split the cost even with however many people are in the room and I'm bringing a wii so there will be smash and other video games possibly. Add/message me on steam.

#11 2 at a time in TF2 General Discussion

Pipes are still really powerful. Having to worry about two demos constantly spamming pipes at you isn't something I'd ever find enjoyable. Demo is noticeably less powerful than he was before, but not enough to warrant allowing teams to have more than one at a time.

#16 Viability of new weapons in TF2 General Discussion

They're fun and actually not broken which was a surprise but I'm not sure if any of them would actually be viable. Would be worth trying them out some. I had fun pugging with other people using them last night. I didn't get a chance to try any of them myself until I started pubbing afterwards though.

remedyi think people should try demo out in a 6v6 setting before they post their opinions

After pugging tonight I have 0 fear of demos and will happily rush into them at every opportunity. Also if they try to get you off a point with stickies you'll take barely any damage.

Good times for scouts I guess.
