You can't buy skills. You can and should buy talent though.

I also don't live in Helsinki.
I would say you dont need such a massive fan for the cpu. If you're going for a high-end one, get water cooling imo.
KanecoI'm having this problem with an i7 - 3770k and a gtx670, well not that severe but with dx9 frames config I'm getting an average 180 fps's, which is quite strange, I should get like 500-600 at least. and I can only get those on mge
Well I easily get drops below 200 on a 2500k@4.7ghz, even down below a hundred on pubs. I wouldn't say that fps is surprising.
I want to see one where you lose 5-0 and have 6 doms at the end, please deliver.
If you stretch a 4:3 res on a 16:9 monitor, the models will be slightly wider.
tornados2111Thanks!^
I'll only be looking for one in a few months so I guess I'll see by then if there is an equivalent
On a related note, there is one, I believe povohat posted it in the 120hz monitor thread.
Absolutely not, people HATED 120hz monitors before lightboost.
Yeah the XL2411T is like 60 euros cheaper than the asus one for me, so I'll probably go for that assuming there aren't any flaws with it. Does anyone have any first hand experiences with it? Preferably someone who can compare the two.
I'm in need of a new monitor, however I already have a vx2268wm. My options are either upgrading to a better 120hz monitor with a proper resolution etc, or buying a decent 60hz monitor. However since it'd only be like an extra 100 euros I can't really decide. What are good lightboost monitors atm? Should I go for the BenQ or the 144hz ones? Haven't really kept up to the whole 120hz lcd shenanigans since the first ones came out. I'm sure this has been answered in the thread, but all the posts are a few months old now.
TL:DR recommend me a 120hz monitor with lightboost
Broodwar used to change maps quite often afaik. But for fps's I'd have to agree with downpour.
I don't like the snakewateresque can't-see-shit lighting of this map.
Also check that you dont have vsync on, it can make your mouse really sluggish. As well as mouse smoothing.
I would like to say that we're fiddled around with the whole cl1 idea a bit in finnish mixes and such. We tried 5v5 cl1, and what it seemed to do is make all classes way too valuable to lose. Add to that the fact that one guy would be playing utility all the time it just makes for a really slow game where you cant make mistakes without it backfiring hard. Also pushing into a heavy and a demo, and even possibly a pyro isn't exactly easy.
The thing that we were going for obviously was 5v5 to make organizing LANs easier. It might be different in 6's, but thats how it went in 5v5.
