FunsTwiggyshorasThe two-shot on Funs was nasty.

I wish demos weren't fucked though

Nice clip and nice music beater ;)
Yah the shot looks super weird, noticed that already. I guess it's stv??

The actual shooting is shown a fraction of a second before he flicks. You can see the same situation when he flicks to kill Maros if you watch the vid at 0.25 speed. First he shoots into nothingness, then a fraction of a second later he flicks to Maros. STVs are weird

#4 Null Movement Scrip Not Loading in Q/A Help

Just put the null movement script in the cfg for each class

#2 Command Help in Q/A Help

I have no idea what the actual command you used is, but putting -autoconfig in the launch options reverts all the changes you've made back to default. If you're using a custom cfg, remove it from your tf folder, type in -autoconfig in the launch options, launch tf2, remove -autoconfig from the launch options so it doesn't reset your settings every time you launch tf2, put your cfg back in (again - if you were using one in the first place) and you're all set.

I know it's a brutish way, but it's the only thing I can think of

#6 How do nerdstars work? in Site Discussion

Thanks for the info guys, and yeah I do think that threads are a much much bigger factor than comments, as I said in the op. Using myself as an example, I've got several hundred comment +frags, a negligible amount of comments with -frags but I haven't made any popular threads. I guess that would explain the system

#1 How do nerdstars work? in Site Discussion

Does anyone know how nerdstars actually work and the criteria for getting them? I don't really care too much (well I obviously care enough to make this post) but I've been stuck on half a star for like a year, regardless of how many +frags I get. The only thing I can think of is them depending on both comment frags and thread frags so even if I have enough comment +frags to "qualify" for a higher tier of nerddom, I don't have the thread +frags to get there

#30 TF2 Blog: "What We're Up To" in TF2 General Discussion
CitricSetsulBleghfuricbare-bones communications.I think this deserves more +frags than "thank mr valve".I agree. They don't mention at all any ideas or thoughts they have on these upcoming changes they're making- just "yeah [in some completely unspecified time frame] we will add a class pack for pyro" is useless, we already knew that.

I'm pretty sure setsul was referring to the Halloween pun.

#126 The State of TF2, Post-Valve Meetings in TF2 General Discussion
MR_SLINThey have to rely on the community to find those problems just like how Enigma relies on the community to report TFTV website bugs or how many games rely on bug reports to find errors.

The difference is that enigma doesn't make millions of dollars off of tftv.

You can't compare a dude running a forum for a few hundred regular users as a hobby, because he likes the community and a profit driven multi billion dollar corporation running a game with an active player base of a few hundred thousand if not more players.

You should obviously expect a higher degree of professionalism, dedication and man hours from one of those examples.

And if the tf2 team is as large as you say it is (over a dozen people and not 2-3 interns as it has been speculated/memed in recent years) then it's even more baffling how they manage to take EONS to fix obvious, well known glitches.

#178 TF2 Feature Requests and Bug Fixes in TF2 General Discussion

Valve will never add an official way to disable hats. Hats are what makes the game a huge source of profit for them so why would they help players ignore their existence

#10 Made a list of all OP weapons I can think of in TF2 General Discussion

Why is the razorback on your list? It's in no way op. It takes up a slot just to block a single backstab from a class that can kill you in 2 shots in a second at that range anyway (Amby hs and 1 regular shot)

Edit: I guess this would explain it

#6 New player experience in TF2 General Discussion

Don't forget the tunnel vision default fov

Also imho, the default tutorial should be made MUCH better and should be updated and forced on new players. It should also include small jump maps for solly and demo because jumping is a HUGE part of the gameplay on those classes

EDIT:

faggetSomeone make a message and post it here so we can all say the same thing. Also how do I email valve?

#80 Biannual iseries idea feat. NA in TF2 General Discussion

The problem with skins/hats/whatever associated with top teams is that top teams in tf2 aren't a constant. They change their rosters/sponsors/names several times a year. Sure, the top player pool is the same but the brand isn't. Right now, the only team with a "history" (a history that goes beyond a season or two) and a famous name that rings a bell when people hear it is froyotech and that's because it's not even sponsored by a third party organisation.

You can see that every org so far hasn't lasted in the scene long enough to make a lasting name for themselves, a name that people will hear and associate with a top team. Orgs like perilous, nerdrage, reason and whoever else (I havent slept in about 30 hours so i can't think of any others) simply don't stay in the scene long enough to have an item made about them
