The purpose of allowing one experienced player on medic in the fresh meat tournaments is so that experienced player can act as a coach and teach the newbies. It makes perfect sense not to allow an experienced players in low divs, on any class.

I never said anything about coming to conclusions about the show. I'm just reading into the metaphors of the show and forming an interpretation, like one would with any form of art. Doesn't need to be a poem to have meaning baked into it, begging to be read.

In that case, you've misunderstood what I meant when I said that. I was referring to moments in the show with piss-poor acting or really obvious, cheesy directing, how I'm able to look past these in order to see what the writers were trying to imply.

Still frankly, Funs, I don't see your point. I dunno, do you wait until you're halfway into a poem to start reading in between the lines? I see no reason not to read into the show from the get go, and from where I'm standing, it's very clear that Lost is packed with metaphor. Though maybe you're saying this because there is stuff you know about the show which I couldn't know as of yet.

I played with 80 ping when I was starting out. If it's all that you're used to, you'll be fine. Maybe play a hitscan class (scout) instead of projectile classes (solly, demo), but if you're just playing to have fun, I wouldn't sacrifice picking one main over the other solely because of your connection.

Okay so I've seen the first three episodes. I fucking hated the 1st pilot and almost stopped there. I really hate that faux-suspenseful "the characters are running away from something scary but we're not gonna show you what the scary thing is". But I do like the kinds of characters they have in the show, the political and philosophical themes, the overall sense of mystery. Some of the acting and scenes are really cheesy but so far I'm able to look past that and understand what the writers were trying to convey. I also like that the show isn't hiding away from harsher, real shit like racism, domestic abuse and drug abuse.

Already I know Lost isn't going to be my favourite show ever, but I'll see how far into the show I can make it and what I can take out of the experience.

I don't normally watch TV or movies, but the podcasts I've been listening to lately have been repping it as their favourite TV show ever. The premise of the show seems intriguing, but I'm also aware that the ending and the overall show itself received a mixed reception. What do you think?

Yes. I can't stand the sound of them. I've tried both the 250 and the 80 ohm versions through the THXAAA789 and other amps, and they just sound horrible to my ears. The 250ohm versions did have fantastic imaging for a pair of closed-back headpohones, but both are too bloody tinny. There is 0 mid-range on these cans, and you need to turn them way up to get any bass out of them in my experience. Really never understood what all the rave was about, but maybe I just have shit ears...

Dubstep (actual dubstep) with a heavy IDM influence. I can only imagine what damage this track could do on a proper sound system.

I've used Hifiman RE-300 in the past. They have a neutral sound signature, without being boring. I would look into some of the updated models though, because the cable is extremely stiff and the microphonics are unbelievably annoying if you're moving or have long hair. I believe later models use more slack cables. For in-ears the imaging and sound-stage are more than passable. You also get 7 different tips to switch to. I have very weirdly shaped ear canals and normally find it tough to get IEMs sitting just right in my ears. Wasn't the case with these ones.

If you want something bassy and fun, can't go wrong with Sennheiser CX-300ii's. Don't expect great imaging and soundstage though, but they're my goto recommendation for people who don't worry too much about audio quality.
