#1 Mario Kart 8 in Other Games

Have you recieved your daily dose of blue shells today?
Let's race - my NNID: Suyooo
We could create a tournament if there's enough players

EDIT: Figured some people don't like adding random people as friends just to play a game, so I made a tournament.
Code: 9642-9768-2667
Regular rules, normal CPU. No race limit - so it's basically just a lobby. Closed every Wednesday from 11 to 11:30 cet because apparently you are required to have your tournament closed for at least half an hour - but you can still play while it's locked. Points are reset at that time, too.

#17 Powerline Ethernet in Hardware
GetawhaleSuyoI'm streaming over powerline ethernet, and works pretty well, I usually get the full available bandwidth even on the other side of the house. Occasionally, there's ping issues where it will spike every few seconds, but I'm able to fix it by unplugging and plugging it back in.
Do you have to unplug both adapters? Just one end?

Just my end. Never tried unplugging the end at the router, dunno whether that will fix it.

Occasionally, there's ping issues where it will spike every few seconds, but I'm able to fix it by unplugging and plugging it back in. It's very fast to reconnect, so if you have issues during a match you can easily do this reset during respawn time without missing anything.

#115 Spec Tools in Projects
yttriumDo you think you can make the plugin load our current HUD files and make it look like our old HUD did, or would that be too much effort? If not, could we customize it with commands similar to SpecTools?

Right now it's all hardcoded, but bluee is planning to create a way to customize the AdvSpec UI so once that's done, I'll most likely work with that to make it similar.

yttriumAs for alignment, why not have an alignment key that casters can press to re-align classes if something gets messed up, but just force an alignment right as the match starts

Triggering it when a round starts does make sense. I'll try it out.

yttriumMaybe even show a notification for when a player has left spawn as a new class.

How about making the player/medigun bar glow for a bit after a change?

#104 Spec Tools in Projects
hoolican you perhaps make this plugin emulate the tf2 spectator hud so we can just get rid of the tf2 spec hud?

I'm trying that with the AdvSpec source code right now - all that's left is class icons, finding a better way to get the CTFPlayerResource entity, and a solution to deal with the order of players changing when offclassing (in that screenshot, the only class being sorted into a fixed position is Medic)

EDIT: An idea for sorting I had would be to make it a command, which would sort the players on execution and save their entities, so it wouldn't shuffle around. Downside is that casters need another bind to do that sort. How does that sound?

This could be really useful if you have a laptop or another PC so you can run a second instance of TF2 next to the one you're casting with, zooming out above the map and disabling the fade so you always have an overview of the entire map and the players without cluttering what the spectators see.

And I'll just join in with the others requesting an open source, not just for learning from it, but maybe to port it to Linux, so I can use my laptop to try out the aforementioned method.

Just put it on a server (Netherlands) in case anyone wants to try the map out: 95.211.1.210:27024
I've been playing a8 of this with friends a lot, Counterjump Ringout is so much fun. I love this map.

Hm, I've been working on something similar on and off, but yours looks far better!
The way I thought about handling the bets is splitting the losers pot among winners, and whatever is leftover would be the "jackpot" - as in, one randomly chosen person from the winners would get this. This way, people could bet against the favorites to attempt to get a split from the winners pot, or bet for the top team to get a chance at winning the jackpot. Of course, this is untested and just an idea I had, it might just be as flawed as the regular pot splitting idea.
I also left keys out of the betting system because of their changing price - I limited it to metals. How are you handling this - do you just update the value of keys every so often?

#1649 Show your HUD modifications! in Customization
flatlineSuyo, you've outplayed me. How did you have the patience to make that lovely loading screen? I'd love to incorporate it into flathud.

It's actually based off yaHUD's loading screen, I just edited the colors, fonts and positions and added the BG.

Show Content
Also I couldn't get the BG color to be the same as the one of the GIF so it's a 1000x1000 texture stretched across the entire screen, so I don't know whether it's a good idea to bundle that monster in a HUD but I'll upload it later
Chrom3w0lfgod dayum that is beautiful can i get a DL?

Will upload all of this later today when I get home (and remember) - might need some edits though if you don't flatHUD, it's based of that and it's fonts

EDIT:
Loading Screen: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8mv3xr4be8674fn/flatHUD_SuyoooLoadingScreen.zip
The animated texture is actually a lot smaller when compressed. Still not optimal, I'll try something to reduce texture size later
Class Selection: https://www.dropbox.com/s/17xxbcofzjkeq15/flatHUD_SuyoooClassSelection.zip
MvM upgrade icons are not in the right place because I never play it and was too lazy, though.

#1634 Show your HUD modifications! in Customization

I'm quite happy with flatHUD, but I still like playing around with it, so I made some modifications based on things from other huds.

Loading screen background is animated: http://imgur.com/25S69B6

Another thing I did was replace the numbers on the backpack page buttons with symbols, but I'm not happy with it yet because the selected page is not highlighted and you can't actually click the buttons anymore since they are overlayed by the icons (mouseover while holding an item still works though): http://imgur.com/i1bXPsB
Is there a way to change the font of the numbers and/or to make an ImagePanel click-through?

#196 TotH discussion in TF2 General Discussion

Glad I woke up in time to see the end. It was an amazing stream, and I'm glad to have been a part of it.

EDIT: Uploaded a video of some Behind The Scenes shots of the background loops I made for the event. There's also wallpapers, 60fps videos and dmx downloads in the description.

#11 New game mode idea in Map Discussion

Just did a little test with two control points, it's possible to do. Different timers for offense/defense and reverting mid to neutral are possible too, if you want that.

#3 Suyos Stream in Requests

Due to my home situation, I'm unable to join any leagues - so far I've only subbed a few times in scrims for friends' teams. While I'm unable to play competitive though, I'm trying to help the community out by making promos or smooths, or helping to organize events.
I don't know whether this counts as "competitive experience", though - so if this doesn't qualify me for the sidebar, I understand.
