You can actually just put Broesel in your Lawena folder. the huds are located at Lawena > hud. By default it has hud_default, hud_killnotice and hud_medic but you can add any others you want. That way you don't even need 4plug

I use mwheelup for slot1, mwheeldown for slot2, e for slot3. I made a script that also allowed me to have a viewmodel script and a bind that would switch having viewmodels for primaries and secondaries or not (the "view" aliases) and switching mwheeldown to slot3 and e to slot2 ("switch" aliases). Both commands interacted with the same binds but never reset eachother.
This was not perfect. Especially for roamer/pocket or sniper with smg/cozy camper this could get confusing because I'd have to change class, check what my mwheeldown was bound to and if it was wrong i'd have to press the Switch bind. Made me pull out the escape plan a couple of times instead of a shotgun.
I tried to fix this by finding a workaround for the weapon switch. I wanted my mwheeldown to be "intelligent" and skip slot2 if I didn't have one by using the "invnext" command. The end result worked but if you ever ran out of ammo the script would mess up. So I ended up scrapping the project. I considered the script successful but TF2 itself was too limited. However it was definitely my favorite script to make myself because it was fun working on it. I also hadn't seen anyone attempt to script something like it before which was surprising
//standard weapons (these are regular aliases for using i/j for switching view0/1 and switch2/3 around. In your class cfgs you'd still have to define with which binds the class would start with and the View and Switch aliases also needed to be bound to a key)

alias weapon11 "slot1;r_drawviewmodel 1"
alias weapon20 "slot2;r_drawviewmodel 0"

alias weapon30 "slot3;r_drawviewmodel 0"

Valve was still in there "just take some flat ground and put some props on it"-phase.
Mid is flat ground with some crates and a catwalk for elevated flat ground
Yard is flat ground split in half by crates
Second is flat ground with a catwalk for elevated flat ground (though I've always felt like it's less of an issue on second it's still pretty bad)
Last is flat ground with pipes for elevated flat ground
Also I really dislike pushing second. It's just the combos spamming until someone falls low enough for the med to pop
I don't hate granary but it's not a map I enjoy playing either
Very hyped!
I have a busy semester atm so probably skipping Legacy league and returning in July to play 3.0.
I might go SSF for the first playthrough during the acts and stop being SSF when I'm at endgame. It'll probably be the most enjoyable way to experience all the new stuff (for me at least)
Gather contact info of all the internet people I care about and want to stay in touch with. I'll spread my memes by pigeon if that's what it takes
DocFlameis there a way to change them without needing to exit the game?
Though it has been a while since I've tried this I think switching between mat_antialias 0/1 works to reload if you do it like this:
-Do not change the weapon txt file. This is not reloaded with mat_antialias so any changes will only happen by restarting tf2
-Instead rename the current crosshair and rename the crosshair you want
-No need to change the vmt files, just need to replace the vtf
example: in txt file it says /thumbnails/crosshair1. But we want crosshair2 to become crosshair1
Rename crosshair1.vtf to crosshair1_old.vtf
Rename crosshair2.vtf to crosshair1.vtf
mat_antialias 0/1 in console, just make sure the value changes. Can change it back to the original value later
The command should lag your game a bit but then you'll have the new crosshair without having to restart
I believe this is a trick of hud editors as well to reload menus
they don't show up with very low viewmodel_fov values like 0.1
If that's not the issue:
Do you even not see them with something like viewmodel_fov 70-90?
Do you have any old gamebanana skins somewhere in your files that changed viewmodels or particles?
Menachemsnip
They literally want(ed?) competitive to be the exact opposite of what I think everyone is here for. They want wins to have more to do with the weapons picked than the skill of each player and team. Un fucking real. What is with this mindset!?!? If any real sport started being more about what clothes and shoes the players are wearing as opposed to how well they play the fucking game, they'd be stupid as shit and lose their audience. Why do people want esports to operate on such a superficial level?
Your logic is way off. You compare the weapons used in the game to the clothes of the players playing it? That makes no sense. It's not like Robin said he wants people to use different unusuals. Robin wanted a more counter based playstyle. Like in Dota where you pick a counter to the other's team composition or buy different items based on the builds of others. It's not like Dota requires no skill at all simply because you counter things with certain picks.
They run a rescue ranger? You run a direct hit. That kind of stuff is what he wanted to see.
Sure, it's not how we ended up playing competitively because it's just not how we enjoyed to play. But it's not like that was too much of him to expect. He envisioned that for TF2. We simply took a different route.
Most people prefer raw input on
If you have it off you'll probably have mouse accel.
Though not inherently a bad thing it messes with the aim of a lot of people. Especially if your ingame sens is already high and you flick a lot
If you don't like the feel of raw input you can try this accel driver. Being able to tweak the accel settings can help you find a good compromise if you feel the default mouse accel nor raw input suits you. It's most common use is having a relatively low sens but with some accel so you can track easily with low sens and still flick/rocket jump when you need it because of the accel

They probably silent patched some things about bullet penetration in a recent update. I've been noticing it as well. sigsegv made quite a lot of videos about how broken bullet pen is so they might've finally improved it

Watching BBC documentaries with David Attenborough narration was my jam. Decided I wanted to do science stuff. Biology at first but I ended up leaning more towards biochemistry/chemistry by the time I was graduating highschool. Struggling my way to a bachelor in chemistry atm
How old were you when you first had a crush on someone?
1) No forced graphic settings in MM
2) Stream list on main menu by default again
Are there streams for Halo and Shadowrun? I'd actually be interested in watching those as well and there's occasionally people in chat asking about it
From the way it was presented when Rewind was first announced I assumed the stream would be a showcase of all 3 games but with an emphasis on TF2 as main game but apparently that's not the case
edit: I took a look at the VOD this morning and watched some of the Shadowrun :)
