#102 Insomnia 65 in LAN Discussion

Really happy essentials.tf gave me the opportunity of coming, learning new things, and meeting everyone. I wish all the tf2 gamers were as happy, polite and kind online as they were on sunday at 1am.

#43 Ascent.NA to prep with bootcamp for Insomnia65 in News
crib_TwiggyI don't get how not scrimming the strongest of the other NA teams benefit him. Or is he just not scrimming you to screw your lan prep?
Froyo haven't scrimmed since ESEA Grand Finals. Their roster isn't changing for RGL, very little point in going that hard in offseason. They could really help Ascent to prepare for LAN, but its their choice and I don't think its fair to call them dicks for wanting to take a break. Froyo has 6 players, why aren't people getting mad at yomps or nursey for not wanting to scrim?

I thought that was a harder decision like 'we're not scrimming you ever again screw you' thing. Thanks for helping me understand.

Now is there going to be a bootcamp stream?

slemnishyeah, someone who decided to stop scrimming our team and only has negative things to say about us to help with the exposure, thats gonna happen

I don't get how not scrimming the strongest of the other NA teams benefit him. Or is he just not scrimming you to screw your lan prep?

DuMmTmonly one ascent can get 2nd this time, truly a masterplan to break the curse

They can still do 2nd and 3rd :)

Be extra careful with the monitor, you dont want some crystals to break in the middle. A blanket/thick bubble wrap is a good option

#11 Epsilon eSports shuts down after 11 years in Esports

yeah the moment i realized this was when i saw some news about US basket clubs buying esport teams, this kind of franchise is what's pushed by the current big names

But, there is still lots of "t2" games around like tf2 with small but old communities around, and now that esports centers flourish in many big cities, it's gonna become easier to host events for those small communities, like what moscow.tf did.

#13 Using Metal to improve TF2 performance on MacOS in Q/A Help
appleMetal provides near-direct access to the graphics processing unit (GPU).

= lower level of abstraction?

gotta need that to optimize the shit out of the bad graphics cards on mac amirite

gemmnot a graphics programmer but here goes:
  • opengl on tf2 works by a layer which translates directx calls to opengl (something like this, though that seems to be for dota)

But don't you introduce significant overhead by doing so?
