Thanks Gunners.
Also, see if you can get in the newbie mix coaches group if you want to be a coach. I'm trying to make that group bigger.

Have you played pugs recently with people? The reason I ask is because a lot of people play their first season and think they are mid Open and end up being low Open basically. That's literally what happened to my team two seasons ago and it definitely helps get your name out to the community to play in PUGs.
Also, I'm making a team next season and we could definitely try you out if you wanna play.
I like playing demo. HMU
When you launch mumble, go through the set-up, then go to the top left and click on 'Server' > 'Connect' > 'Add New...'. Then, in this order, type the following lines in:
Newbie Mix Mumble
chi2.tragicservers.con
64738
lambda
You should be all set at that point.
Paddie is a straight up beast.
Also, I might try to poach him cuz he's super cool too.
Message me on steam for a try out.
I made a group for coaches to join:
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/newbiemixcoaches
Join that please. I closed it so we don't get a bunch of inexperienced people "coaching", so invite all the players you know who are qualified please!
Mid/High Open team starting S13, message me or justus to try-out.
Looking for every class but demo.
I love it.
Can we have enigma come in and teach us his ways? I want to learn how to be a little bitch scout and get carried.
GigaI had fun playing in them and everyone was pretty cool. Does anyone have a guide or something for setting up and connecting to the IRC channels? I've tried on my own and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the things working.
Also, we made a group for newbie mix coaches, so if anyone is interested in coaching EVER, please add up to the group.
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/newbiemixcoaches
It's invite only, so please only invite people who you think will be good coaches (basically anyone that can main call).
I developed a small case of this at the end of S11, it was pretty weird. Looking back on it, I wish I could get a do-over for the end of that season.
I can set up tutoring sessions or like open clinics for any coaches that want to do it. It can be like a real time AMA.
So we ran newbie mixes the past 2 days and I think what we'll do is host 2 kinds of mixes:
1) Scheduled ones. This means that coaches and newbies can make plans to participate in these mixes. My plan is to do Saturday and Friday night mixes.
2) Unscheduled ones. The old newbie mix was only one night a week and a lot of players *really* didn't like that. I want to help make newbie mixes whenever so that we can always reach new people and not just the same newbies every week. It's good to have people come back, but hopefully they figure out how to use tf2mix, or pugna or something at some point.
Tell me what you guys think about this plan.
In addition I need more coaches, so PLEASE add to the group if you can coach. All you have to do is show up to the tragic mumble whenever you have a little time. If you have another coach that wants to play and you both are just sitting around, message me or another admin and we'll get a mix started. I really want these to happen spontaneously like a PUG group as well as scheduled so we can have events like two nights ago when Brad and Sal came and streamed/casted newbie mixes.
