I'm glad these changes are being made in a proper season setting. If the changes prove to be awful to play with then I look forward to being wronged and I have no problem admitting that it wasn't a good move.
Regardless we are at the point where we should try and experiment, we've had worse shit in ETF2L seasons before that didn't come down to a vote but just the admins decision. Was it shit? Yes. But it's only one season and these changes deserve to be given a long and thorough test as it could be a benefit towards a more entertaining playstyle of TF2.
The game is at the point now where we shouldn't give a shit on trying to attract new players, we've done that shit for years and it's done fuck all. What's important now is that we look for ways to make the current TF2 enjoyable to play and watch. There's also nothing wrong with just having a shakeup or a refresh of the meta every now and then. We have the abilitity to do just that and we should be more welcoming with experimental changes.
Having said all this, adding the gunboats always applies along with the med movespeed changes seems a bit excessive. I feel that both changes are quite significant as we are already going to make the medic role more punishing and having soldiers effectively more tanky in bombs feels like a bit of a double whammy.
lf people to play wipeout with add me: warhuryeah
As someone that has gone back and forth between playing in prem and div2, I feel like ultimately for me and what might be the same for others is that prem level TF2 is just not fun to play. It's not really about being rolled or whatever but it's more that it's such a fucking drag to play the season where the map pool, play style etc. is just so tiring.
I guess at the end of it all ETF2L is now at a point where if you don't care about prestige or the challenge anymore you'll really just want to play with a group of people that you enjoy spending time with. When you make the jump up to prem you'll find yourself playing against teams that have a massive advantage of teamwork/skill which makes the prospect of playing out the season in officials and scrims a lot less enjoyable.
Glorious mice are pretty decent in terms of performance and they have some of the best stock feet I've seen on a mouse. But they are incredibly flimsy. My Model-D is just so squishy the buttons feel like I'm pressing in to a sponge sometimes.
Logitech are probably the best in terms of overall quality but there's obviously more of a cost involved on some of their mice.
G Pro Wireless is worth the investment as you'll probably not use another mouse again.
Traditional UK food is fucking garbage, there's a reason why curry is so popular here.
Not only that you only need to visit a place like Birmingham, Hull, Stoke, Grimsby or any fucking place to see why things like Cottage/Shepards/Meat & Tatie/Steak & Kidney/Ale/Shit pie is so popular, when you live in the dullest place on Earth you're afraid of anything remotely exciting.
Even though we have a decent quality produce of foods it means nothing when you slap it in a crust base and put another crusty top on it and slap it in the oven.

the historic thing here is getting a consistent 200+ fps
Reminder that more people play on vs.Saxton Hale servers than comp tf2 ones.
I feel that we really need to find an agreement to tap in to this market, perhaps put a powerup on mid where one player turns in to Saxton Hale for 60 seconds? I think if we pivot to this direction we could double our playerbase which will surely make Valve take notice for us once and for all and finally release Source 2!
