I actually got a lower stable framerate after SteamPipe. The earlier benchmark I provided was from after steampipe as well.
I just started up TF2 and a friend messaged me and said that we was getting better frames or something in an empty server, so I went through the whole benchmark demo from that thread from a while ago and have like 20-30 more frames. Did anyone else notice this?
Current FPS:
2639 frames 24.084 seconds 109.58 fps ( 9.13 ms/f) 6.835 fps variability
From the time of the benchmark test:
2639 frames 31.050 seconds 84.99 fps (11.77 ms/f) 5.462 fps variability
Specs:
FX-4100 @ 4.6GHz
GTX 560ti
16GB RAM @1866MHz
Both tests were done with Chris' maxfps with shadows off, ragdolls/gibs off, in dx8.
Shade has to have the best grasp of fundamentals/mechanics, but Pyyour is a better team leader/strategist IMO.
Get a Corsair PSU, 550W should be fine, swap the 4100 for a 4350.
The whole sparks/bouncing off thing is tracers, they're usually wrong. They work as projectiles, but the actual "bullet" is hitscan, it's instant, so the tracers are always off.
At some level there's a material for the sniper scope, I assume if you remove it you'll just have to deal with the 20 fov it ends up using.

This changes the scope, not sure if it fully removes it, you could just try deleting the file it replaces/replacing it with a blank file.
MGE spawns sometimes do weird things to hitboxes, but usually not after the person starts moving. By bad hitreg, do you mean that it's slow, off-center, or what? It's probably not the mod itself, seeing as all MGEMod does is teleport you to arenas and buff you.
Blue switches will make you want to type very long sentences for no reason other than the amazing sound and feel that they have.
Play more tf2 than could possibly be healthy interspersed with quake live instagib.
I'm running a FX-4100 @ 4.6 atm, I tried a 5.2 OC and the board had no trouble with it. I guess I don't know much about shipping to the EU, but is it really that much from Newegg? I have 16GB of RAM @ 1866. Cost about $75 or £45 or €53. I would think that shipping wouldn't be that much, given that RAM is by no means large or heavy.
Motherboard is great, I have one and it's very sturdy, no problems. I would go with different RAM, you could probably get cheaper RAM @ 1866 with the same size, at least in the US.
I just really sit in a 120 degree oven until I get off my ass and set up the a/c in my room. I never notice it while playing. Before we had an extra air conditioner for my room, I would put my computer up to the window so the outtake fan was pointing out through the screen, and put a box fan under my desk pointing at my legs. I can confirm that leather is awful, but fake leather chairs are great, it might just be me, but I never have problems with mine.
Isn't there a simple way to get a server to assign a different name to people based on Steam IDs? I've seen a bunch of pub servers where admins could assign names to people, where offensive names are automatically changed, etc. It might be a Source Mod, but I would think that it wouldn't be very hard for ESEA to just clamp names at the start of a season. Don't they already limit name changes to a certain number per month?
