Wandumi second pretty much everything in this thread but i wish for the day where we can have a lan hall with normal lights instead of the red/blue rgb gamer lighting
i hated this so much, the only feedback i left in the google form regarding the hall was to have normal ceiling white lights. also would be nice to actually properly isolate the unused door next to where we were sat, it was so cold i had to wear gloves before every game.
Surely there's a space/hall for a stage, even if its just a row of tables for the players and an area with chairs for the crowd. As much as i loved to sit right behind the finalists during the games, it adds an extra motivation/reward for the top players to be able to conpete in front of a crowd, with the extra benefit of having crowd noise for the stream. Everything else was pretty much perfect, dont think a tf2 lan can get any better than this. +1 to ditch insomnia, even talking to production members they hate working with multiplay, why bother when we have so many better/cheaper options.
Big up to production, DCS and other teams for keeping the games mostly on schedule, was awesome to finish the finals at 10 and enjoy the bar like a human being.
Thanks to the czechs for showing up and playing close games againts every team.
Thanks to Lukas for being a perfect roommate and bar companion.
Thanks to nation for being the funniest schizo at the venue.
Thanks to kaptain for feeding me in desperate times.
Shoutout to Rising for staying logged in with his admin account on tf2pickup.de on nations PC.
Shoutout to counou for trading drip for a bit.
Shoutout to blue bonk enjoyers, to hell with red bonk enjoyers.
Shoutout to piggles for convincing the bar to stay open.
Shoutout to sil for a donut log in a LAN GF.
Shoutout to papi for not only winning the finals but also making it entertaining to watch.
Shoutout to danny for his past crimes.
Congrats to ignis on his wG trial.
Shoutout to everyone that came up to me and introduced themself, it's been years since last LAN and there were a lot of new faces.
Shoutout to whichever one of you brought a nasty virus with you to LAN, makes the trip home lovely. (Lukas)
7600x is ddr5 ram only, so you dont have a choice buddy
mousiopedx8 or 9 ?
dx8, after upgrading to windows 11 both benches are -20 fps, with 6000Mhz RAM now
edit: nvm im stupid, removed headsfeet when running the bench on win11
win11 bench with 6000mhz ram and headsfeet:
benchmark1
2639 frames 5.696 seconds 463.30 fps ( 2.16 ms/f) 45.660 fps variability
benchmark_test
4812 frames 9.281 seconds 518.46 fps ( 1.93 ms/f) 80.219 fps variability
7600x stock
rtx3070
32gb 6000 cl36 (running on 5600, 6000 is not very stable)
windows 10
1920x1080
headsfeet
flat textures
mastercomfig low
benchmark1
2639 frames 5.820 seconds 453.43 fps ( 2.21 ms/f) 46.448 fps variability
benchmark_test
4812 frames 9.658 seconds 498.26 fps ( 2.01 ms/f) 84.618 fps variability
no windows optimizations yet, no OC, just fast bench test after building the rig
Setsul
yeah no alza is pretty much the only retailer here that has ok return policies and customer service, unfortunately dont have the luxury of comparing prices between stores. only mentioned the z63 because its on sale here for 160, the nhd15 is 110 and nhu12a is 125. also full water cooling kit is a no go for me, i dont trust myself working with liquids near electronics. and yes, i really dont see the point of pcie 5.0, not even in couple of years.
thank u for validation, see you in benchmarks thread when its complete.

This is why i asked mr Setsul not mr Noob, you see, my pc case of choice is mATX.
BuildBruh
Yeah i heard they get hot, but i'd rather not have cpu at 95° at all times if i could help it, and while i prefer air cooling over an aio, i don't mind going liquid if it means my cpu is not cooking itself every day. Just not sure if air cooling is still relevant with this gen of crazy hot and power hungry cpus.
hi mr Setsul. anything wrong here?
https://sk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ddZPLs
going amd because cheapest ddr5 z690 (non-asrock) here is 300+, might as well futureproof for AM5 3d vcache
aiming for stable 240 for tf2 and overwatch on low, 100ish and up for tripleA 1080p, occasional light workload
thank u sm
quick edit: would the 7600x benefit from aio (something like nzxt z63) or is beefy air cooler enough? also any need for b650e compared to b650?
Maklf prem scout for my squad. i dont mind trying out a cracked noob. lets go
Lupusoh yeah forgot to mention CU@ and LFT :)
oh my gawd..
SamusYou are bypassing the game to access the information. It is an exploit.
If Valve intended for this to be just available they would have added this to the player HUD together with the team health, but they didn't.
.
From the top of my head, here are the things i currently use in my TF2 which are not meant by Valve to be accessed and are allowed by etf2l:
1, unlocked negative LOD to 15 for smoother textures
2, custom vtf crosshairs
3, custom explosion particles
4, anything with preloading (custom animations like left hand fix for original) on sv_pure enabled servers
5, afaik mastercomms no soundscapes addons also fucks with the same files that enables you to cheat game sounds
Valve didn't fix major exploits in years, close to a decade for some of them. If we can have a nice QoL addon to our HUD, it's not the end of the world.
