the thing is the bolded idea is not a good concept; most maps already have a flawed last as it is, and you should be rewarded for having uber advantage going into last, rather than coming closer to equalizing the chances of failing/succeeding.

u r suggesting banning classes = banning weapons, so you're probably trolling. if not, pushing last with uber ad is fair (without vacc), and should not be "free" so banning classes isn't necessary.
This is a good whitelist, but I don't know which Invite players you talked to regarding the machina, because your guys' reasoning is simply not true and it genuinely angers me that people don't see it being an insanely good weapon, especially the worse you are at sniper. I am 100% confident that purpleshirt would not have been nearly effective during grand finals if he were not using the machina. He played well and hit his shots, so he still would've been effective, but it is actually incredible how much more he shut down scouts and soldiers with full charge body shots.

The damage buff is NOT insignificant. as the most relevant example, purpleshirt literally shut down the scouts on froyo whenever he bodyshot them, because there was a very rare chance their buff was >173, and if it were, they were a 1 shot kill by a scout (immediately dying after bodyshots, where otherwise, they could have a much greater chance at living after getting bodyshot). purpleshirt also shut down soldiers when they jumped with a bodyshot, a lot of the times killing them when he wouldve not otherwise. a soldier has 200 hp, after taking a machina bodyshot without a buff (or a lot of times, soldiers actually have 150-200 hp range because they occasionally eat damage from the flank), they can only rj out with about <15hp, which is generally a 2 shot kill at most from across the map, which i remember doing in that match a few times, where they wouldve not otherwise died, because he has 1-2 more rocket jumps than normally after getting 150'd.
There are many more examples that frequently occur, making this weapon overpowered, and another has to deal with every sniper vs sniper duel that occurs if one sniper is using the machina. i would go into much greater detail about why this weapon simply shouldn't exist if you want to actually talk about it .
Pertyou know if people would just stop joining b4nny super teams there might actually be some parity in invite for a change.. if people would just agree to not play with him and form their own teams invite could potentially become fun to watch again. Until then he will just replace freestate and continue winning while everyone else plays for second
believe it or not, there are enough active players right now available to make a team to beat froyo, regardless of whether or not b4nny agrees with that. there always have been. people just don't care enough for a lot of different reasons.

I don't mind the gunslinger. People overreact about minis way too much honestly. Weapons like jarate, natascha, machina, vaccinator, etc. are far more game breaking as well as annoying to play against.

it is quite clear that slin's original suggestion followed up with b4nny's delusionally optimistic attitude of tf2 was the only reason that whitelist became a thing. that would not happen again if legitimate invite/prem players came to a conclusion in this offseason. in fact, i would gaurantee that 90% of the unlocks would be banned if everybody but b4nny showed up.

mid is not that good yet. i feel like there are a couple ways of changing the mid and seeing where it goes from there. one way would be just simply remove the bridge, also potentially raising the elevation of the point slightly, then playing around with adding / changing the position of props around that area. as of right now, i can't really agree with anybody saying that making a point harder to capture by putting it on extreme low ground adds to the map. it's a solution to what sideshow said, i definitely agree, but i feel like that same solution could be achieved by other alternatives (haven't really thought about it too much, but something like changing the sizes of the chokes, and the distances from forward spawns to point / spawn times)
2nd seems pretty good. i would need to play it in an actual match / higher level play to see how the transitions work better. are people suggesting that the transition from mid to 2nd is bad? If so, one of the easiest solutions would be making it easier to dry push. to do this, you could make the batts area (top left from offensive pov) wider/larger so people can push it and have space to dm as a team. it seems like another possible reason for this would be because (i'm not sure, but the way the map is designed) it's possibly difficult to have a good uber to catch the team / med out since the entrances are quite far away from where you hold / spot the team pushing. I think you can potentially make lower closer to 2nd, so it's easier to have a good uber when you pop out the door. I'd have to play the map at a high level, but something with choke (toxic?) definitely needs to be changed.
the lobby on last should be reworked. I honestly don't like the idea of adding shutters to one of the last door entrances in order to fix something, but I think replacing that doorway with a shutter that's farther forward (from the offensive perspective) than the doorway would normally be could work. the actual last area seems good, despite being big, as some complain about.

i havent read this whole thread but most of things you've said so far just sound like you're a die hard quake fan boy but the exact opposite at the same time? i'm genuinely confused as to what you actually want, because you said reflex is shit (when it's pretty much just a newer quake) when someone suggests you just want a quake remake, but you also want change then? what exactly do you want from this game?
i do agree that a couple of the things they are doing are odd, but...it's in beta...
