ur arguing something i'm not suggesting. i absolutely agree with everything you said but i'm only saying that there are some people who literally think the opposite of what you said:
"I amNOTsaying that Team Fortress 2 would be some magical huge game if everyone was sunshine and rainbows"
and i'm just saying, that is most definitely not true, as you are agreeing with as well.
but you have to recognize that a game will never be big if the community's toxicity (that is MUCH less extreme than other games) is considered an issue. it's really that simple.
Infinite why do you always sound like a condescending douchebag? Sure dude you put your own money. That really is cool of you, but take some responsibility for just one mistake lol
shenanigancorsai'll preface this by saying i enjoy hl (mostly sniper) as much as the next person, but honestly anyone who thinks competitive tf2 is declining because of the close-minded 6s players is beyond delusional and you should never respond to them with more than one sentence lmfao holy shitA lot of 6s players are elitistic cunts that don't hesitate to show their toxicity and arrogance in your face.
That may or may not appeal to newcomers
I completely agree that many 6s players are / do that, but you're absolutely wrong if you think that is even a minor reason for the lackluster competitive scene. I feel like anybody who says this has never played another game competitively, because it's much worse in every successful game.

Ieebarefoot_banditif you think this is the better than merging IM and Invite you're out of your mindIeeYe I said that because I talked to tri about it beginning of last season. I don't want to sound like a prick, but I had a feeling this was going to happen. Like I said this is prolly the best outcome we could get. Let's just enjoy the time we have.Ieewelp they did it anyway. have a nice final seasonbarefoot_banditprolly the best option is to have im merge with open, and then decide what tems we need in invitethis is incorrect
I hope you don't mean IM + open rather than invite + open. With invite + open, do you mean like a 20 team invite division? That's not the worst idea, but I don't see how merging IM and invite is better. could you explain because I don't know how it is blatantly the better choice (im legitimately wondering, not rhetorical). Anyway, a large top level where the top division's skill gap is incredibly huge is legitimately one of the worst experiences for both parties. You can say the same thing about merging open and IM, and it's terrible either way, but you have to consider that there would be actually 0 incentive to get to invite if the division were shitty--if top invite had 10 more teams to 5-0. UGC is a prime example of this, despite being hl and UGC; when I played a 15-20 team plat division and rolled every single team except 2, that finalized the death of high level competition in hl, because it simply wasn't fun anymore.
I know this is very telling for tf2's future, but it is only because of the lack of players, not because now there are two divisions. I feel like having two divisions isn't that terrible because it increases the incentive to play with and against better players--to play invite. I could be wrong though, but it doesn't really matter because it's not like the incentive was high recently since the removal of esea LAN.
edit: the best solution would be to move the top 4ish teams to invite to provide a skill level in invite where people wouldn't get rolled every game, because they have a small group of teams to play. The rest would go to open, because low/mid IM is high open anyway.
alec_Paging corsa. Corsa loves wtfast.
I used it my first year of college since i used to get lag spikes often before they upgraded the bandwidth. It was hard to tell if it worked, but i think it might've for limiting very subtle lag spikes. It seemed like sometimes when I routed to something more towards the east coast rather than chicago, I had fewer issues.
Hasssassinhi im looking to form a competitive paladins team, please add me on steam if you're interested

hello as u can see I'm lft in tf2, not making paladins team. ty for consideration nonetheless
DirtyMorti just payed 41$ for fees for tojo and I so if my team decides to move up to invite im not playing.
if its because of that money situation, ur money gets refunded if u pay for invite after paying for IM, or at least did in the past
smesipeople are too mean to him sometimes
80x bullies rocket a lot...
Tery_Oh look, we don't have enough Invite teams.
