SpadesJust wanted to let you guys know the UGC forums deleted a thread with this announcement in it.
http://www.ugcleague.net/forum/showthread.php?60618-ESEA-big-news&p=327493#post327493
They deleted it again lol
how do you know yomps is on froyo but think gnomercy is playing, let alone playing in invite hahaha
SpaceCadetI don't want to come off as defending b4nny or his behavior but lets be fucking real here.
There's no way you can honestly sit there and say negative things about how b4nny "down talks" or "trash talks" players who throw, when so many other invite players do the exact same thing on a nightly basis. I could rattle off at least 5-8 names right now of daily invite streamers who also say bad/negative things about players they view as beneath them.
Is b4nny wrong for doing it? Yes, he is wrong. You might as well call out the other invite players who act the same way. If you act like an asshole, then you act like an asshole. Why does it matter if he has 300+ viewers when it happens as opposed to the other dickheads that can barely crack 15? I'll tell you why
EGO. This whole discussion is about ego, nothing more. Just get the fuck over it, check you own ego and realize b4nny doesn't owe any of us good behavior on stream and he acts no different that most of the current high invite players. The only difference is that he shit talks people with 300+ viewers, and that person develops a bruised ego because of the viewer count. (see Kawa's post #31)
That's not true though. you can't name 5-8 who change the PERCEPTION of players to the COMMUNITY, in or out of stream, whether the community is stream viewers, or competitive players. I don't know a single player who repeatedly does that outside of b4nny. Never once did I think, you know, when habib was whining about rocket, that really made people agree with him. There is a difference between shittalk and what b4nny does.
b4nnyGetawhalelavendergrant surrounds himself in an echo chamber of people who form their opinions around his simply based off the fact he's the best player in the game. they don't think for themselves and instead regurgitate how he feels simply because "he's the best so he can't be wrong!"
i think if he took some time to practice having a discussion or talking with other people in a respectful, equal footing manner, not surrounded by his mindless zombies, i think he could grow a lot as a person and become a much more respectable person than he already is
underrated post
What we need is a respectful discussion on the merits of throwing games, super underrated post guys! :3
The thing is, not everything is up for debate. Some things have an objective nature to them, that's just the way it is whether that hurts your feelings or not. Among those things would be "Is feeding when there's 30 seconds left a good idea?" or "Does having 5 ping give you a huge advantage?" There is a right answer and there is a wrong answer and I sincerely hope you don't need to be nearly as good as me at TF2 to know what that is. When someone proposes something that's so far out of bounds of what is correct, you don't pat them on the back and encourage them as an equal, you shut that down as quickly as possible so as not to legitimize their claims. I challenge you to provide an actual example of a subjective topic that I have refused to consider or a topic I didn't fully understand that I spoke with confidence on. If you can't do that, you're just making vague baseless accusations and propagating this echo chamber lie that funnily enough is exhibited nowhere better than right here in this forum.
You're literally doing exactly what people are saying in both of your posts. I honestly feel like in order for your close minded self to understand this topic, I'd need to write like a 5+ page essay, but maybe I'll do that for you after finals. Anyway, you sort of ignore the connotative meaning of what people are telling you. No it is not wrong to call somebody out on feeding with 30 seconds. No it is not wrong to get angry at that. No it is not wrong to think 5 ping is an advantage over your 60 ping. But that's not the point my dude.
It's the way you go passed just dreading on an issue and shit on people, and I honestly don't know how to put it in words because it's just common sense if you have any possible social skills, so I'll give you an example. You say things so untrue that somehow people still believe it. You've literally said, with anger, "corsa wouldn't even be invite if he didn't have 5 ping" when I beat you in a scout vs scout1v1. Now with how delusional you actually are, I wouldn't be surprised if you legit thought that. But you influence your entire chat to think I'm actually an open player on scout when I have anything above 5. for instance, rocket literally thinks I cannot play invite scout with 30 ping. I'm not saying I care what rocket or those people say; I'm just giving you an example of how you influence people's opinions in the strangest ways.
As far as circa goes, you influence your chat to think that he's an intentional thrower, even in matches. Just because somebody throws in 1 pug intentionally, or even unintentionally, doesn't mean you should influence that that's how they are as a player. People literally think that circa is just a thrower and are confused "why woodpig gaming picked up an intentional thrower." You have zero grounds to talk about somebody throwing (or other personal things) that are ONLY showed when playing on a team with that player. And for that matter, you have zero grounds to influence the community that circa just can't handle what it takes to try hard. I know that's not your intention, that you might not even think that, and you're just having banter, but that's the whole point here. There's a difference between banter and changing the perception of a player.
b4nnyI will never cease to be upset at people who throw games. And I will happily argue about it every day for the rest of my competitive gaming career. I call out idiots on a daily basis, so unless you plan on chronicling my every move this is hardly thread worthy (but do make sure you follow me on twitter and twitch so you don’t miss it!). If you really want to defend and justify when a supposed top Invite player throws games, be my guest, just don’t pretend that’s not what you’re doing and don’t be surprised when I vehemently disagree with you.
Further, I hope you do realize that conversation is with yight. As far as TF2 players go he’s among what I consider the scum of the community, but most importantly, that has become somewhat of a running joke between him and I. So it’s taken completely of context, that being: that’s just what my relationship is with yight, a sort of playful disdain. In the last 24 hours alone, this isn’t even the most entertaining conversation I’ve had with him.
Sure, in the moment I let frustrations fly but before long I too find some sort of humor in it and move on. I always find it quite ridiculous that people that aren’t even involved in these situations dwell on them the most.
i legitimately cannot fathom the idea that as the most popular tf2 streamer, you tarnish people's name by continually shitting on them
there's a difference between shittalk or friendly banter and changing the perception of a player to the rest of the community, whether it's the community of your viewers or the competitive community.
Hasssassinhe's persistent and he has a huge drive to learn and play. but for fucks sake stop pugging for 16 hrs a day and actually watch demos of shade or nursey or do something thatll actually help you improve your mechanics, go try out for a team, play on any team, explore every single option possible, and please, none of this ego bullshit, treat yourself as any other medic, stop going Sherlock holmes with the magnifying glass on a log in which you barely beat nursey/meyy/who cares in a pug, focus on your own self improvement, take piece of criticism you are given and accept it, dont give some bullshit excuse, if you fuck up you fuck up nothings changing the past. also please get some sleep
i'd like to also add that the thing you can work on, by far, is your awareness of the players on both teams as well as the comms
people have this weird notion that rocket listens to invite players more than his fellow open players. that's simply not true to the extent you think it is. the reason rocket doesn't listen to people isn't because he doesn't trust you. he literally does not hear you. this is the awareness of comms that i suggested he struggles with.
the only reason he'd ever listen to invite players more is because he's trying his hardest to make sure he hears the players that will get mad at him the most, because he's simply not able to listen or pay enough attention to hear the entire comms situation.
as far as your awareness in game, don't look down when you know a soldier can potentially bomb you (perhaps it's that you actually just don't expect them to bomb?). i see you healing people looking at the ground. just horizontal/up depending on the situation (explained in first sentence of this paragraph). also, look around more, just in general. you literally use a 5 inch and still move around the map barely moving your mouse.
the stuff you need to fix and learn is probably the most basic stuff I can think of, which is why it causes you to "throw pugs"
botmodemessiahhttps://clips.twitch.tv/FunObservantGarlicRitzMitzdidn't switch to ubersaw
NURSEY UBERS HERE BUT STILL DIES HOW?!
edit: switches to ubersaw super noob play
must have been a glitch because bdonski gets flashed and doesn't take damage and uber def got popped
nursey was healing bdonski, the flash stays on the player for a second or so, and there's also an ubersaw on the ground
just be productive. look for a job, exercise, do things that are important to you. If you feel like you have nothing important, that's a good time to find something, etc. you'd never regret doing things that help yourself improve as an individual.
phobiaWait so whats the roster now
paddie yomps
showstopper botmode
bdonski
nursey
and i've said too much
