Phitelling me it's worthless and a ripoff of other maps.
I don't really get this. Process is widely considered to be one of the best TF2 maps ever and it started as basically granary mid, badlands spire, and well last all put into one map. Thing that are derivative of great things tend to be great themselves. If a spire as a second point is a beloved aspect of many maps, then why the fuck would you complain about a new map including it. smh at the people who get mad at maps for being ripoffs
wrong section, but an admin will probably move it for you
for future reference lft threads go here http://www.teamfortress.tv/forum/4/recruitment-looking-for-team
People care more about your experience than your hours so try to say if you've ever played on a team or if you have a lot of pug experience or whatever you should post that.
Cool guy, from what I played with him he really gives his all to just trying to improve in every way he can. Good pickup for a low open team.
To me it's all about the editing. Coming from a Call of Duty background, I really like the insanely overedited style where there are tons of filters, cool smooths throughout, and music that is perfectly synced to the action.
Even when using a more plain style, syncing the music up with the action really makes a frag movie way better imo. It doesn't even have to be all the time, but when there is like a pounding bass or a drop or tempo change coming up having the frag slow down and speed up so that the impacts are synced with that part of the music really gives the feel that the frag was monstrously devastating.
joelamosdeetrYou could read P-REC's config file and then check if the filenames match the syntax of P-REC's config, but that would kind of fuck up if you changed your P-REC config
Now that I think of it, even using a user-defined pattern(s) could match false positives. For instance, %map%, %red%, and %blu% could literally be any text.
In my thinking, the only possible safeguarding would be to have an option to not delete files with P-REC's date format in their name. I'm guessing 99% of P-REC users include the date in the filename.
Thoughts?
Most users have a date in their prec file format and some sort of delimiter between the elements of the file format, it would probably be possible to regex it and get a pretty high accuracy. That would only work in most cases though and you want something that works in all cases from what I can see. Also you could probably not delete demos that start with esea_ imo because those will basically never be prec demos
When browsing the forums from the Forums or All Threads page, nuked posts will still show up as last post with the name of the user who made the nuked post as the name of the last reply.

joelamosFriendly_ProtistjoelamosI created a patch here: https://github.com/joelamos/prec_delete_useless_demo
Your script deletes EVERY demo in tf that isn't in killstreaks.txt. So if you have any demos renamed or from other sources DO NOT USE THIS unless you have those demos backed up in another folder.
You're correct. As P-REC allows you to customize file names, there's no real way to only delete P-REC demos (short of having the user specify a pattern).

I like them on but my dad always walks by and turns them off to lower the power bill :(
