ESEA-LAN funding idea: Help the casters?

TomSkirrettIt would be awesome though if there was a live (21+) stream/cast event in Portland for major tourneys. Maybe Burnsiders could make this happen in the future? I'd go.

Wow, I literally lol'd. We're actually making plans to do just that. I have a contact at Lagunitas, just gotta get him lined up with Free Geek's info and we're gtg with a beer donation.
We might be able to get 12 steam boXes (built by Free Geek) with steam controllers (from Valve?). That'd be ideal so we have systems people can use, and well, if it was all on steam controller it might be lolzly but it'd definitely be hype.
Very eXcited bout the prospects. Would be casted to the internet in front of a live crowd watching the players live.

ESEA-LAN funding idea: Help the casters?

If there is on-site casting in association with ESEA, ESEA should be funding the cost of the caster's travel and accomodation. Simple as that.
I was willing to do that in the past and volunteer my time while there, but ESEA should also be compensating the casters financially for their time.

We're super stoked for our streaming coverage of this LAN.
Tournament singups will go live on their system once we get to the LAN. Teams might shuffle a bit and re-organize, but it'd be great to see what some of the teams are like right now so we can perhaps create some broadcast assets to use in our production.
