eXtv is going to cast a bunch of CEVO.
We're definitely trying to figure out which way to go. I think there are three basic approaches that could be taken: Cover the Game, Cover the Event, or Cover the Game at the Event.
Should be an amazing season. I know I'm very eXcited.
eXtv would like to film a new documentary at i52. Myself, Luc, and Airon will be discussing plans on how we can make this movie the best it can be. Feedback is always welcome - eXtine@eXtelevision.com
Part of that decision is that we will be primarily focusing our i52 efforts on this documentary instead of organizing a fundraiser campaign to get a team there ourselves.
We hope similar efforts are launched, which we'll support and collaborate with, but most likely we won't be launching such a campaign ourselves. That is subject to change of course, but we want to be able to completely focus on making an awesome documentary.
joejoe347If people record their povs, I'd be up for making a lan frag movie. There should be enough good players that it could be interesting. Maybe I'll bring my video camera and include some irl video?
We'll definitely have STV demos collected afterwards, and hopefully people will use p-rec and bookmarks for POVs then pass along the demos.
In terms of IRL footage, we'd love if people would be willing to use their phone/video cameras, capture some great LAN footage, and then kick it to use afterwards. Put it on your YouTube, send us a link, and we'll get Luc to edit up a sweeeet video summarizing the LAN. Crowdsource that shit.
I just talked with some of the other eXtv staff about the LAN and we're definitely trying to bring some real kick ass things to the table. Coverage on site should be awesome, and if you guys help us crowdsource some irl LAN footage, we could also make a really awesome mini-documentary about it.
Yaeh if you're close enough you could just come and kick it on Saturday. Tourney should be over by 8pm I'd think. Would probably be fine to get there at noon, although you might wanna talk to people to make sure you have a spot on a team. Teams will become much more set once their tourney software is live at the LAN.
fites.net has the most details. Not sure if there is a policy regarding just needed a ticket for a seat, or if a guest would be welcome so your dad wouldn't have to buy a ticket. Not my place to say but you could check with the FITES admin and they'd prolly check off on that.
If you have any other questions post em up, your dad is welcome to e-mail me - eXtine@eXtelevision.com if that helps. cheers.
sry rick... think I see part of the confusion too. I clearly stated the time at the top, but at the bottom I meant to write "should be over by 9:30pm est", but it looks like it says "Should be by 9:30pm est". My bad.
Yyyaaaoooo!!!! Bumping this thread since this event is tonight. GET HYPED YAO.
I thought this one was a better article:

The polygon one kinda strikes the tone of: "Ohhh, its so sad this didnt work out for him."
Fuck that. Dude bit off more than he could chew, and in the process ripped off Hyun and the whole rest of the staff. No sympathy for blackfogers.
heheh. I felt stupid after I posted that actually, and just downvoted myself. Anyways, very cool that your dad is coming with you so that you can have a good time gaming it up with us.
Are you of drinking age #192? If not we're gonna get your father drunk, Yyyaaaooo!
