This is definitely good news. I can pursue it myself after this neXt wek, but someone should get in touch with MLGAdam (super active in the dota community) as well as some other higher up MLG people.

While some of the DOTA 2 eSports features aren't in TF2 yet (ticket system), I'm sure Valve would be willing to work with MLG to put together a TF2 item. Kick around some ideas of what you would buy if there were MLG themed TF2 items.

Oh yeah, actually Elena just reminded me we were talking about doing 2v2 MGE for the giveaway. Switch things up a bit and do something fresh. Besides only Scout/Soldier/Demo, don't think we'll have any class # restrictions... could throw pyro in there since huey is coming ;) Please let us know your thoughts and we'll hit you guys back with more details soon. Looking at Jan 6th as the date for this event.
Spectator hud looks good. I'd like it a little better if there wasn't a horizontal gap between the two team's boxes and if they were all the way to the right edge of the screen.

eXtv is still working on plans for an Ultiduo qualifying tournament to give away two tickets to FITES. No definite date or anything yet, will be a separate thread for signups. In my opinion, a team fee promotes having backups because they don't have to pay in order to be in a non-starting role on a team. Backups can roster ride without incurring a financial penalty for committing to helping a team that might have scheduling issues.
