the people who are playing ESEA for CS are doing it because they're interested in taking the game very seriously. A lot of the Main+ players are maneuvering to try and play the game professionally. The average pub/pug player isn't a concern of ESEA tbh.

tf2 players and cs players aren't happy with it, wouldn't make sense to just tell their players to deal with it and have them leave esea
reddit CS players and tf2 players care, because we don't take TF2 seriously, as like a professional thing. Half the people above IM in CS are trying to play the game on a pro team, and to that goal they'll suffer anything basically. The question is whether or not the open and pug CS players will quit (they won't)

SleepingLifeThe concern here isn't because I think that they're going to try to mine bitcoins on my computer. The massive penalty payments they would have to make if they get caught is probably enough to make them unwilling to do that (isn't it a couple million?). Esea just seems to be trying to make it a pain in the ass if you want to use their service to play videogames.

this would make the game more easy to play. You wouldn't have to worry about starting the client or logging in and its one less thing to micromanage on your way to a pug. Unfortunately, lpkane cant sell anything at all, so he really did this the wrong way imo. A small essay about the difficulty of deterring cheaters and coming up with some asinine benefits for an always on service might've made it a little easier to swallow ???

Foxif some people think esea would install another bitcoin miner on their client after they had a LAWSUIT about it previously, you need to really stop and think for second
i doubt most people are terribly concerned with the bitcoin thing tbh. apart from the horrible customer service we all expect from esea, the apprehension personally comes from degraded game performance. Ed struggles to get 80 frames at 480p, and on client he gets 60. Being able to turn that off to lobby or pug is a nice thought, having it always on and degrading performance is unideal imo
