nope, ive tried. you can do some funky stuff with binds like
alias +slotONE "slot1;+attack"
alias -slotONE "-attack"
bind 1 "slotONE"
unsure if itll have any repercussions though.

you could def make a red and blue + sign but outside of that im not sure
its not about being better, its about being more suited for lower level games.
Like obviously high level tf2 would benefit from timelimit or bo5, im not like disputing that at all.
I am not sure the low level lost plebs want to be playing dragged out steamrolls is more or less the argument. It can create some pretty bad environments, regardless of whether or not it's 'better'
I'll try to use last nights bugs/froyo match as an example of why neither party should have been forced to play that match any longer than it went. it doesnt lead to good things. thats one example from one subset of data, but games like that are more prevalent in lower levels of tf2, and if you think b4nny lost his shit, wait until you see what the raging sociopaths of open can be like when stuck in games they dont want to be in.
theyre planning on expanding to other mp_tournament modes if it isn't happening already
Also @sideshow that bo3 indicator is configurable so if you put in bo5 it will expand for casts and shit so the bo3 might not be permanent.
the logic is if youre stuck in a 1 sided game for 20 minutes its not fun for anybody involved.
if youre stuck in a bo3 match and its completely one sided you can potentially lose in 2-3 minutes.
A close bo3 match could take upwards of 30 minutes if the teams were even and/or trying their hardest to hold last.
I mean I could argue with you but I don't really care either way, I personally don't think the bo3 system is 'worse' than a best of 20 minute system.
win quick, lose quick, play another game.
new update. do a clean install preferably for this one, its beautiful actually.
SideshowI really really hope they're not gearing towards winlimit 2 in mm. Or even winlimit of any kind - without a timelimit these games will be either a stupidly small amount of rounds or last a ridiculously long time. Timelimit is such a better option but they seem to be going the other way.
timelimit creates a feeling of helplessness and toxicity, I had this discussion with them, they're absolutely correct in thinking that.
also that reddit discussion isnt positive, its mostly about how much of a nazi regime grants twitch chat has become
To be fair we shouldn't as a community be broadcasting useless matches.
I understand the premise of a 'more is better' mentality when it comes to TF2 content but this match was never going to be close, or competitive. You have a demoralized seemingly dead team with nothing to play for, playing against a top 2 team trying to work for a top spot in playoffs.
This match didn't deserve to be casted. As MM grows and viewer counts go up we're going to have to start taking pride in what we're putting out as a community. This match, even if FROYO hadn't offclassed wouldn't have been a good spectator experience, casting experience, or learning experience.
Nobody wants to watch a stomp, they want to watch high level interesting TF2. This match was an example of why TF2 has a hard time being taken seriously. You can compare this match to players being clowny at TI when Arteezy bought a 27 minute midas knowing he was going to lose, but that was when the game was over. Bugs were fucking around from minute 1 which is dumb.
This map was going to go 5-0 quicker than it did if people played their mains and nobody spectating was ever going to get anything positive out of it, so I'm not sure why someone decided it needed to be broadcasted.
id probably recommend uninstalling all of your video/mouse drivers and reinstalling them separately to narrow down the cause, also make sure you run a 'clean' install when you put them back.
no general tf2 community deserves to be forced to play pyro, engineer, or spy in their mm games
its in the 'extras' folder. adding it to a random hud might take some work.
