TF2 now defaults to the Opus voice codec, which performs almost identically to Mumble and Discord. But with in game voice, you lose a lot of control over other voices, such as volume. It's viable for pugs and matchmaking, but most people will still prefer Mumble.

iirc this is happening only when you disable your viewmodels, you can use http://www.teamfortress.tv/34834/yttriums-competitive-viewmodels to hide them
what Tob said, also remove /resource/gamemenu.res and /resource/ui/mainmenuoverride.res if the game crashes
to get the files you have to extract them from tf/tf2_misc_dir.vpk using gfcscrape, in scripts you'll find compiled .ctx files, to decompile them use vice
using command prompt run:
cd [path to the folder with vice.exe]
vice.exe -d -x .txt -k E2NcUkG2 *.ctx
this will decompile all .ctx files in the folder, no need to compile them back since tf2 can handle .txt

you need to restart game in order to see change, it's slightly different looking mat_phong 0 without the visual bugs
billwI consistently get 126fps on benchmark1 with comanglia's stability cfg but get around 90fps with this and the max performance preset loaded. Any idea why? both the config and max performance are shown to have loaded correctly in console upon launching.
