I think you answer the question pretty well...
people expect different things from casters at different times
while its nice to see a professional event put on like the ESEA lan or i46, the individual casts give a personal feel when you are that 'goofball' caster.
edit: by personal feel I mean sexually

KarmarsiIs that a major difference between a SSD and an HDD?
Its a different type of storage with faster speeds. So applications launch faster (including windows). The trade off is price for storage size. Getting a 1TB SSD is virtually unheard of at a comsumer level.
Your system is pretty buff... what I would suggest is a getting small SSD (like 120GB) and install windows + any applications you would use frequently on that. Then also get a large HDD for storage.

KapowwCheck your card too, I found out that my 6850 only accepts vga/dvi adapters in 1 of its ports. I had to go out and buy a dvi/dvi cable for my 2nd monitor.
haha yeah most AMD cards are like this now

a way to verify/comment or even just +/-frag on an application might be a good idea
some people are modest about their skill level and deserve more attention whereas some people can flat out lie
however, you could argue that it would turn applications in a popularity contest especially with the skill level your site will attract. Usually you can tell who is serious about a comment though
