#37 PUG groups that are active? in TF2 General Discussion
cinqIt looks like #tf2mix is dead. PUGs on IRC have been on a decline since the introduction of TF2 lobby. While TF2 lobby died, the alternative that came after it was even stronger.

I am still willing to give a shot to a modified version of #tf2mix, but it won't really happen on IRC. That medium is too hard for the users to use while too restrictive to scale properly. Thanks to everybody who played on #tf2.pug.na and #tf2mix, it was a good run while it lasted.

To be honest, TF2Pickup could expand to here. The rulesets are different, although that could be worked around.

DaStabajExcept ESEA doesn't make a profit from TF2 at all. IIRC they're in the red from supporting it. Only reason it's still going is group size and Killing likes tf2

well they most likely make a profit overall, just not in tf2. If they were in the red then they would be forced to cut TF2.

#12 esea server lag in TF2 General Discussion

Was playing a match, and we still had the lag issues. Server crashed one minute before the match was going to end.

Apparently there was a CSGO update that was causing servers to crash (http://play.esea.net/index.php?s=forums&d=topic&id=619817), so they may have reset the box that our match was being played on.

BigaYour top 15 played artists consist of Skrillex, Deadmau5, Skillet, and Fallout Boy. I'm sorry, but I can't help you in your current situation.

4 artists = 15 artists

#9 PUG groups that are active? in TF2 General Discussion

All PUG groups will turn to shit eventually if they're public or the wrong people are let in.

That said, b4nny's been getting ESEA PUGs going the past few nights, generally after midnight. Would love to see some pre-scrim ESEA PUGs though.

#92 1/13/2015 Site Update in Site Discussion
hookyNot sure if I like this better... I'll get used to it though.

I preferred the old homepage though. Now this site looks like the Reddit for comp TF2.

Alright, I think the new style is much better now. Front page still looks bland though.

EckshookyDaggerfor anyone new, make sure you don't pay with "e-check" it takes like 5+ days to clear through
make sure you change the pay option to "instant transfer" or something like that
I've literally never seen this before. Do you need to add a bank account directly rather than use a debit/credit card?

linking your paypal to your bank account allows for instant transfers from the bank account.

Well I meant the e-check option, since all debit/credit card translations on PayPal are instant, even if the bank says they're still processing. I'm guessing the e-check thing is only possible with a bank account?

#45 Purity and the Whitelist in TF2 General Discussion

I think it might be useful to change the game in one way: drop a player per team and make it 5v5 like a lot of other e-sports. A:R is a 5v5 mode, but it's the wrong way to do it. We should do what Bloodsire said: take 6s and cut out a scout and a soldier, and add an auxiliary player that just plays whatever class is needed at the time. It wouldn't require much adjustment from our current ruleset and would make TF2 more viable as an e-sport, both in the number of teams in leagues and for getting whole teams to LANs.

6s works just fine though. We should at least attempt this version of 5s though.
