A lot of shitty stuff has been happening to me + with really bad depression and stress I haven't had the mental energy to go back on Steam yet.
But I promise. You'll all have a good, well-running version of Sunshine out very soon. I just need to polish it off and compile it. It should be a couple more days, max. It's leagues better than rc2 and comparing it to rc1a is ridiculous. It'd better be changed in the map rotation once it's out. RC4 is/will be so much better.

I understand u love esea to death but what good is it to bash UGC? It still fuels like 90% of your scene playerbase and it's actually the entry point league in your scene. The players in open today were the players in ugc a few seasons ago, so I don't know what you're trying to accomplish with that but its probably not helping.
I agree. We don't have to play exclusively in UGC, but we shouldn't bash it and the players in it just because the league is seen as lower quality than ESEA.

Ond_kajaIt's kinda sad that people actually believe that the survival of American TF2 apparently depends on paying (read: donating) money to a crooked company like ESEA who seemingly do everything in their power to fuck up their customers. In return we get three LANs a year with only four teams, which are mostly just boring turtlefests where nothing interesting happens for an hour per map, while the same people win the prizes season after season. Lol, TF2 won't die just because ESEA stops supporting it because in the end only a few people are truly in it for the money.
It's either support ESEA, a league that seems to have at least some interest in TF2 6s, support one that has traditionally heavily favored HL over 6s, or support one that isn't even for our damn continent. And making a new league would just create more problems. You think I'm wrong about that? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we just have a league that supported us for a whole year and gave us another set of LAN finals as well as our own version of the i-Series LANs, but never gained much traction and ended up dropping TF2 a month ago?
Also, pay to play generates better competition, since there's more risk. In ESEA, you automatically lose your premium/league fee money if you drop out; in free leagues, nothing happens. You have just as much money as before. League fees keep competition up towards the higher ends of each division.

Hasn't this been said every single season only to have an extension applied in the 11th hour? Pretty sure this statement lost its teeth seasons ago.
An extension wouldn't make a difference since the future of ESEA TF2 will be made before registration deadline.
Considering everyone usually waits until the very last second to pay up anyway, this made me have little hope.
If we pay up and the season doesn't happen, do we get our money back?
