Why does it seem to be UGC that always gets DDoSed the worst? I don't remember TFTV or ETF2L being down for multiple days because of DDoSing.

In my experience, Windows has gotten pretty good at getting the proper drivers for your system installed. For mostly everything the default driver should be good, unless you're missing features in which case you should install the driver from the manufacturer's website.
If you have a dedicated video card, you obviously should install the driver from the manufacturer's website. GeForce Experience and Raptr aren't necessary, but GeForce Experience is nice for letting you know about updates. For Intel graphics, whatever Windows installs should be fine.
If you have a sound card, install the official drivers for that. You may need to install drivers for USB devices, but you really only need to worry about that if you're plugging in something that's niche.
Just something in general: for laptops, make sure you install the latest video driver for your laptop, even if it's for an earlier OS (later OS might work too as long as you aren't installing XP on it). When I installed Windows 10 on my laptop, the driver it chose was one made for Windows 10, which is a logical thing for it to do. Problem is that the brightness control is tied to the video driver, so when I tried to change the brightness it would only stay at maximum or minimum brightness. My laptop doesn't officially support Windows 10 (or apparently 8.1 even) so I installed the Windows 8 driver and it works perfectly fine. If it's your primary gaming machine though, I'm not sure how that affects performance (I only play games like Civ5 on it) so don't blame me if you're getting low FPS in TF2.
So my DA 2013 got the doubleclicking issue where sometimes (pretty much all the time in my case) it will register a single click twice. I know that it could be fixable but I feel like it's not worth dealing with Razer build quality so I just went back to my MX518 until I got around to buying a new mouse. Now the MX518's scrollwheel is dying, so I'm looking for a new mouse.
This is how I hold the mouse: http://i.imgur.com/sEh9jEH.jpg I believe this would be considered a claw grip. The edges of my hand rest on the mouse but most of my palm is lifted.
Any suggestions? I've been thinking about Zowie but I would like to hold their mice first. I like the g502's shape when I got to try it.
Why is the history bar covering the video?
Looks very nice otherwise.
JanSGNmYouWishIsn't this like THE reason they invented cloudflare?
Cloudflare isn't free. I'm assuming as a non-profit organization, UGC doesn't have 200$/month plan which provides you with advanced DDoS protection.
And Cloudflare didn't help TFTV yesterday.
Smesifor those that don't know bape was just smokin a blunt and drinking something (cough syrup or something like that i'm guessing) on stream and the stream suddenly died idk
also he wasn't even playing anything, he was just starring at his desktop
he got banned
She made her account private, that was quick.
shorashookySo Discord and Mumble are basically equivalent with Mumble possibly having a slight edge. That's pretty cool that a team doesn't really have to pay for a Mumble to get good latency on their comms. There're free Mumble servers in existence.
Forgot about those, sorry. Just use Mumble for VOIP then.

On my first laptop (old toughbook) I accidentally fried it by putting the charger in a USB port instead of the charger port right next to it.
To be fair to myself, if it didn't go in so easily I would have noticed that I was putting it in the wrong port.
However, this is worse. This isn't even legos, it's that circle/square/triangle peg thing. If something doesn't go right in, don't force it in or you'll break the whole thing.
Also expecting good performance with a 720, lol
M4ngoLyour graphics card doesn't support dp. u could use hdmi 2.0 instead if you have that
I would think a video card that doesn't have DP won't have HDMI2 either.
OP, what's your video card?
Okay, it happened without PREC. I feel like it happens more often with PREC but I'll just chalk it up to chance.
Still don't know why it's happening
For Wild World, I believe the DS emulator people use is DeSmuME.
For the GC and Wii versions, Dolphin is your only option (and it's a good one).
Citra can play New Leaf, but not well. You're better off going with an older game or playing it on the 3DS.
VipercerealWould they make it cost more on steam because valve would take a cut of the profit?more than likely, yeah
if valve gets a cut when you buy and sell tf2 and csgo items on the market, then they'll take a cut from all the premium and league fees paid through steam
esea won't like that at all, so they'll probably jack the prices up $2-$3
For reference, this is exactly how it works on iOS. Apple takes a cut of all in-app purchases. App developers jack up the price a bit to make up the difference. This means that a subscription for Spotify or Tidal costs $10 on the desktop but costs $13 on the iOS app. And in this case Apple makes it worse by charging $10 in their app. That would be like Valve making their own league/pug client and charging $7 a month in Steam to use it, while the ESEA client is $9 a month through Steam.
Edit: Also it's been removed.
