#174 The ESEA abuse thread in TF2 General Discussion
Handcuffedwould you care about winning a league where banny wasn't in it? let's say iT plays CEVO exclusively, watch this either does the same or takes a season off, and you guys play mix^ exclusively.

how many seasons before that gets incredibly boring? One?

idk i'd be pretty interested if I was playing against myself

Edit: fixed

#37 ESEA Settles Bicoin Mining Lawsuit in Esports
FzeroHOLY FUCK
"- The ESEA Monitoring Code monitored computer activity even
when end-users were not using ESEA services and the ESEA Software was not turned on. ESEA
concealed the ESEA Monitoring Code in the ESEA Software driver on end-users' computers.
ESEA also programed the ESEA Software to reload the ESEA Monitoring Code even if end-users attempted to "unload" the driver."

Time to reformat our computers and quit ESEA?

FzeroKinda makes me sad/annoyed that an employer can make you do something that is illegal and somehow you (the employee) gets sued too.

He could have quit.

SpewntheSpoonTeamfortress.tv league. Make it happen. Pleeeease. I think with enough support from the community we this could really be a step in the right direction for Comp. We've raised $32,241.14 in the matter of 2 days. Surely a couple hundred teams paying league fees would make a small lan possible.

I don't think you realize how much effort goes into a LAN. We only have one because CSGO has one.

That said, we should probably move away from ESEA, especially since one of the people involved in the incident is still in the company- in fact, he's part owner.

CEVO is looking pretty attractive right now.

#1 My Deathadder is failing! in Hardware

So my last mouse was an MX518. I liked it, but I kinda felt like my hand didn't really fit it well. I noticed this Deathadder 3.5G on my dad's desk and I asked if I could borrow it, so I did and it felt much more comfortable. My dad basically gave it to me, and I've been using it since then.

However, since I got it, it's had the doubleclicking issue associated with Deathadders. Today, however, I noticed that it's gotten much worse, to the point where it's frustrating.

So, I want to replace it. I was thinking about getting the Deathadder 2013, but I think it might have the same problems (although my current Deathadder is old). A G400 would be nice too, but again, the shape would probably bother me since it's the same as the MX518. I would like to know what I should replace this Deathadder with; a Deathadder 2013, G400, or some other mouse you think I might like.

wfyi you can emulate most ps2 games now

yeah forgot about that. DDR is still borderline playable last I checked though. I might still have PCSX2 on this computer, so I'll try to check that out.

#1 Might get a PS3 in the near future in Other Games

Since the PS4 is now out and I've missed quite a few games on the PS3, I would like to buy a PS3.

I was thinking about getting a refurbished 20 GB one so I could have PS2 backwards compatibility; "my" PS2 is really the family's. However, the only games I ever play on the PS2 are the DDR games, and I don't even know if they work properly with the PS3. Also, I'm the only person who really uses the PS2 anyway. My brother uses it, but I'm sure his friends all have PS2s anyway. I want to be able to play any PS2 games on my monitor since I'm starting college next year and might move into a dorm/apartment, so I'd have to get an HDMI/Displayport/DVI cable for the PS2, or a capture card (probably should get a capture card if I want to stream more games). I can connect a PS3 with an HDMI cable right out of the box.

Also, I'm worried about the reliability of the 20 GB one. I assume it's more prone to failure than the slim and super slim models, especially since I wouldn't be buying it new. Is it better to just forget about backwards compatibility and go with a slim/super slim, and figuring out something else with the PS2?

How do you do that by running up the stairs? You must have been going at Olympic speeds.

#8 Is this Ultrabook good for TF2? in Hardware
A-R-Wow thanks for all the replies. The reason Im going for discrete graphics is because I want to be able to play single player games like Dishonored, Bioshock, Civ V, etc. at low settings too alongside TF2 and CS:GO.
hookyAny reason why you can't get a desktop and a cheaper laptop?
I have a budget of $1000 that I wanted to spend on getting myself something that would last 3-4 years. If you can suggest me a portable laptop, a decent desktop and a non 120Hz, 23' HD monitor all in $1000 then I would LOVE that.

It's not the fact that you want discrete graphics that I'm worried about, it's that the graphics chip in that laptop is pretty bad; the integrated graphics that comes with the CPU is better. If you're set on discrete graphics, I'd at least go with something better than the HD 4000.

For the desktop, do you have any spare parts you could use?
