I'm manning a booth all day, so my partner and I might do our plans a bit early if I think I'll be too tired. Most likely we'll go see a movie and just have a simple dinner. He's not really the romantic type so I don't try to push him too much.
ThickneyaieraJust last week my mom begged me never to do it and said she'd end up offing herself too if I did. Really breaks your heart to hear/see them worry like that.
I had a lot of problems trying to tell my parents about depression for this reason... The look on their faces when I could see how much they worry about me, I didn't want people to worry because I wanted to leave quietly, kind of makes me glad that I told them.
Dealing with anxiety and depression at the same time is kind of a weird balance, the anxiety makes me fearful and turns up my awareness of people around me to 11 while the depression slowly shuts me away from anyone else and makes me not want to bother anyone with my existence. I take some medication now to keep the anxiety attacks at bay, but the initial numbing effects and insomnia weren't fun. I get irritated by stress a lot and minor things can set me off into another spiral but I'm doing my best to hold on.

Also fully loaded kotatsu!
A Wacom Intuos pro from my boyfriend.
$100 cash from my Aunt in HK which I used to buy a Fluval 106 canister filter for my tank upgrade.
Some good times with my parents and brother while he's back from school.
Also 3 pounds from the local taqueria.
A company to respond to one of my job applications.
Also some coffee brewing equipment. And maybe a nice sweater.
I heard about comp in general through an irl friend who played HL in one of its earlier seasons. Poked around and found the LAN Trilogy videos (http://youtube.com/watch?v=nwXrrotAGDI) which hooked me.
HOLY SHIT HISTORY IS MADE
Went through something similar in my last years of college. Definitely recommend seeing your school's personal counseling services, they're there to help you with these sorts of things and are good for just letting some anxiety off. Keeping counseling visits on a regular schedule helped a lot with a lot of troubling stuff. I don't know how far into your major you are but if you think you'd enjoy something else in the long run go for it.
As for health stuff, yes try to stay hydrated and have regular eating habits [I found that I'd get very irritated and fatigued when I didn't eat while on campus]. And at least try to get some fresh air every day, even if it's just sitting outside for a few minutes to get away from the computer screen.
I've only had surgeries in my mouth so far. I had to have 4 of my premolars taken out as well as all my wisdom teeth because my jaw was too small to accommodate everything, so I'm missing 8 teeth of a normal set.
The worst was when one of my upper canines was coming in sideways and was going to collide with the roots of my incisors so I had to get surgery to place a metal ring and chain around the canine and manually move it to the right spot over time using my braces. Having a ton of stitches in my mouth plus every month I'd have to get the chain tightened which pretty much rendered me unable to eat from the pain. I'm still missing some gum from the surgery but my orthodontist claims it's some of the best work he's done.
My aunt and cousin are there in Paris on vacation right now. I've gotten confirmation from the rest of their family that they're okay and weren't close to the scene but I'm still so worried about them. Hopefully this doesn't affect their ability to get back home.
Please check up on anyone you know that may be visiting there.
