Basically my currently awful internet is unlimited but is the worst thing in the history of the universe. I'm not the one controlling the internet but I suggested we get BT Infinity (Fibre) because it's pretty great. The problem is the only one we can actually afford is one with a 40GB bandwidth limit. Now, I don't download a ton of things right now but I'm wondering if with a cap like that would I be easily able to keep within it while also streaming at an okay quality?
A few things to bear in mind when giving me advice on this are what my internet is used for currently, but these things could be cut down individually a tad to accommodate because I would like to stream.
- I watch small YouTube clips quite often.
- I am only planning on putting in a few hours a night during the week on TF2, otherwise it's
- rare to see me on online games.
- I watch about 3 movies a month on Noobroom and download a few okay quality things, about 1-2gb in size each.
- I upload YouTube videos very rarely too, that shouldn't really dent it because they're only like 200-300mb anyway.
- I use Facebook and shit like that, along with snapchat, whatsapp etc but not excessively.
- I do not stream my music, it's all on my PC so dw about that.
Basically I'm wondering how fast streaming at a watchable bitrate (high res but with 640x480 on it with a cam) would use up my bandwidth and would I easily be able to keep in that boundary streaming a few days a week?
