#1 ESEA LAN for Premier CS:GO Announcment in TF2 General Discussion

https://play.esea.net/index.php?s=news&d=comments&id=14765

If you don't follow CS in ESEA , Premier is the 2nd highest division. The article doesn't disclose where the venue may be, but perhaps some potential for the return of TF2 at an ESEA lan?

I didn't pay with an echeck not sure why that was said, for some reason neither myself or my teammates were able to pay league fees on my account using paypal, trying to fix it for tomorrow. Make sure to tune in on Sunday!

#42 ESEA S21 Map Vote in TF2 General Discussion
trasharen't maps pretty infamously difficult, if not flat-out impossible to change after being heavily artpassed?

also, idk why "this is a custom map" is an argument against a map if the result of that map being voted out is to vote in another custom map

If I saw a cs map called Grass2 and it was dust2 with grass instead of sand I would realize it's dust2

JackyLegsAnd on the other point you made of no other region picking the map up, I'm not gonna talk to any other region other than the one I play on, but here it was picked up, unfortunately it was replaced due to premiership players not enjoying it and wanting a change (which led to turbine and then (old)logjam, let's not talk about that dark time), and afaik other regions have done the same.

So prem players didn't enjoy it and dropped it from the pool which has been the case for years, but we should keep playing it?

JackyLegsMa3laaWarmfront should be voted in and metalworks should be removed. Metalworks is just a placeholder map that we've been playing for 7 seasons that no other region has picked up, despite our years of playing it.I really dislike the way you dismiss metalworks just because it's a custom map and might not be familiar to viewers, I understand your point but it is by no means a bad thing, if we would have followed that same thought we would never have seen maps like process, snakewater and gullywash.

How could that possibly BY NO MEANS, be a bad thing? You even said that you understand my point of it being bad for viewers so that is a bad thing lol. It's equally as bad of a thing if process came out today, difference between process and metalworks is that one of them is a very solid map and one is a very mediocre one, as proven by the fact that metalworks is on the fringes of being voted out while hardly anyone would be discussing voting out any of the 3 GOOD custom maps you mentioned. Why keep a mediocre at best custom map that has the similar disliked aspects to a non custom map that has a much better mid and is easier to watch?

edit: I wouldn't want to rely on a map maker who has hardly updated the map in 3 years since its release that you said is really busy with work to properly update a map that is already in a finished state. I'd rather replace that placeholder map with a different placeholder map that is slightly better, one that viewers understand, and then when a new really good map is released get rid of that placeholder for that really good map. I'd rather have the better placeholder in the meantime though.

#37 ESEA S21 Map Vote in TF2 General Discussion

We scrimmed a bunch of possible replacement maps vs other invite teams to try to find viable replacements:

- Yukon is fun but way too open still, snipers are more than viable, they are too good.
- Logjam has way too much going on, and its a custom map which is not good for viewers etc.
- Reckoner has a lot of potential but is in far too early of a state to be a viable replacement option.

Warmfront should be voted in and metalworks should be removed. Metalworks is just a placeholder map that we've been playing for 7 seasons that no other region has picked up, despite our years of playing it. Warmfront shares the problems metalworks has, last stalemates etc etc. (Though warmfront is yet to be really tested in todays meta, maybe that wont hold up as much.)

- Same issues as metalworks (at least in the past)
- Warmfront has one of the most interesting mids in the game.
- It's not a custom map, casual tf2 fans recognize it and understand it while spectating games on twitch etc.

It's not a massive upgrade to a boring map, this isn't going from a 4/10 map to a 10/10 map, but its certainly some kind of an upgrade to metalworks. It's more of going from a 4/10 map to a 5.5/10 map, one which is better for viewers. I'd rather do that than try to get in a random custom map or keep the same rotation.

- metalworks +warmfront

#29 2015: Year In Review in News
OsirisMa3laah0b5t3rAny chance of all esea officials being casted this year?
This coming year NA coverage will be bigger than ever in written content, casts, and some new things that'll be announced soon.
Can this include uploading VODs to YouTube, please? I missed practically the entire last two seasons of ESEA because I never had the time to watch any of it before the Twitch VODs had auto-deleted and a lot of them(especially the play-offs) aren't on YouTube.

Yes, this will be done for future seasons

#54 TSU's issues with the fall classic in TF2 General Discussion
ninjanickMa3laaChatlog to Ninjanick and something I also said to showstopper.

10:10 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: You can post if you want
10:10 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: But saying he has bias for froyo is stupid
10:10 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: because I made the call
10:10 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: not him
10:11 PM - Ascent Ma3laa: If he was actually biased for froyo he wouldve done what I told him on his own much earlier than an hour past match times

I said to both you and showstopper that you shouldn't post this, with what you said about tsc being completely untrue. The razer admins didn't really make any decision about what was going on, and after 1 hour of your team and froyo going back and forth with each other about the issue without resolving it, I had to make a decision to end it. At this point you posted this to call out tsc specifically for something you knew he was not a direct cause of.

EDIT: This is not to say the tournament overall did not have any problems, it certainly could've been shorter overall, better scheduled, etc. These problems will be fixed in the future.

Alright so this is also ma3las fault then. The point is that the wrong decision was made and I will continue to argue that point. Tsc was the person that we were in direct contact with throughout the tournament so the blame was put on him.

This is also not the first issue weve had issues with tsc. We wanted to reschedule an earlier match against mangoes that was not being casted to an earlier date so that it would not delay the tournament. Mangoes agreed and we even had razer staff agree to be available if any issues arised and the only one who had an issue with it was tsc from our POV who forced us to play it on the later default time with 3 ringers. This tournament had SEVERAL issues but the only person we were in direct contact with during the entire tournament is tsc.

Then theres the issue of you making decisions for a tournament that you're involved in. Tri is an esea admin and because of this hes not allowed to play in invite. HOLY SHIT I could go on for days about how poorly this was run. If we could go back and do it over again we simply would not have played. Its not worth the problems. Hence why weve decided to not play in a tournament that tsc is in charge of again since hes incapable of making correct decisions.

Bias or no bias. This was a shitshow.

EDIT: grammar/spelling

I've not once said that the right decision was necessarily made, but a decision at that point had to be made.

If you had a real issue with tsc then why post about something I told you was completely false?

As I've explained to you already I'm not an admin for razer or do anything involving razer besides making sure the games are casted. In this one standalone case I came in and had to make a decision because no one else was.
