I've been playing TF2 exclusively on Linux, although you need to define "good player" in order for me to tell whether I should have a part in this discussion or not.
Everything is smooth, you don't need dxlevel (because you're using OpenGL on Linux), raw input should be turned off (Linux has no delay when it comes to input, but SDL can't handle some fast mouse flicks in newer kernels properly, so raw input screws it up).
Also, no p-rec, but the built-in demo recorder does the job excellent.

Firefox + uBlock origin and no ads whatsoever, even on twitch.tv.
Just use Firefox, Chrome is a bitch when it comes to your privacy.
I believe the version that you can download from the official TFTrue website is broken, unfortunately. There is a mirror of an older version that works properly: https://sappho.io/files/tf/tftrue4_79.zip. Give it a go and see how it works.
The deathmatch server is back up. There are no reserved slots yet, I'm going to work on them in the next few days.
Also, for testing, I got rid of the map vote plugin - the maps are changed in a rotation instead.
Is the TFTrue addon being loaded successfully at all? Check for example if you can set the
tftrue_whitelist_id
cvar, also take a look at the console to see if there are any errors.
Do you use the sourcemod plugin or TFTrue?
Kraków is alive all night long, you can go from pub to pub and listen to jazz concerts & jam sessions, one of the greatest places to live in the world if music is your thing.
Although there's a virus or something rn so it's not as much alive these days
Ok, so I got a new server, so getting all TF2 servers back up and running should be a matter of a few days.
Please don't spam me with DM slots yet - they got wiped, of course, I need to set everything back up and will let you know when I'm done and you can spam me again.
osvaldoThis might be a bit too early for you to tell, but the melkor suite of mge and DM servers was one of the most popular and reliable in Europe so I was wondering if there is any chance they might come back in the near future ...
The response from OVH at this point is pretty sparse. The whole datacenter is being reconstructed, but no ETA so far. I would say at least two weeks from now, but it's a wild guess.
No Linux client = no faceit for me :(
BloodisAll I wanted when I played DM was that there wouldn't be a need for map voting, just a small rotating map pool that everyone is okay and fine with especially when season maps that are to be played on the week are added to rotation for the duration of time when they're played in the league. My two cents for that matter.
That needs a very good selection of maps; for me the DM map pool doesn't have to be the current ETF2L season's one. Some maps are good for playing DM, some are not. I'd stick with good 4-5 DM maps even if they're not in the pool.
melkor.tf burnt down in the Great Fire of OVH.
I already miss you my little dedicated server, you were a good piece of hardware.
shoutout to supra for doing so so so much for Polish scene <3
