The thing that you've failed to notice is that there hasn't been a single issue since then.

#46 ESEA PROMOTION in TF2 General Discussion
DrPloxoAllealESEA tolerates the TF2 league, but they don't promote it or try to improve it. CEVO's platform is that of a league for the players; you should be able to see why that's attractive after playing under ESEA's indifference. TF2 has always been second to CS. Permitted to stay but otherwise left alone. I appreciate that ESEA has given us a place to play, but the community has grown and now we want more. At least that's how I've always seen it.Given that TF2 team registration is so low, even last season, that they don't make a profit, are you surprised to feel that way?
If they made money off of tf2, it'd be worthwhile, from a business aspect to improve and promote it more universally. But at the moment, even given peak registration numbers, they lose money.
It's idiotic to expect ANYTHING to give more effort than they get in reward.

More people would sign up if the league were better.

#173 ESEA's possible demise? in TF2 General Discussion
defylike someone said earlier, in the most unlikely scenario that will not happen (i'd be in shock if it did) the only real solution is reverting back to the oldschool format of when TF2 was first in ESEA

open + invite, thats it. i'm sure people would appreciate that then being dropped all together, the same reason why ESEA only has open for cs 1.6 and no longer im/main/invite.

cause sandbagging isn't already bad enough...just get rid of the awful moveup rules and let people play in whatever division they're appropriate for

#166 ESEA's possible demise? in TF2 General Discussion

If ESEA gave a remote fuck about TF2 and TF2 players, this wouldn't have happened. Every season we face the same shitty issues with ESEA, complain about them, and no one in ESEA gives a shit. Don't bullshit about using ESEA's forum or submitting tickets. Killing/Kalkin obviously read this forum all the time and it wouldn't be asking too much to of the TF2 head admins to notify higher ups of these issues so that they can be addressed.

I know it isn't likely, but hopefully losing hundreds of customers will make ESEA actually try to improve their service for TF2 players instead of dropping it altogether.

#9 ESEA's possible demise? in TF2 General Discussion

The season was delayed 2 weeks because of people not updating client
IM finals didn't have a working STV
Hivemind couldn't play Open LB finals because of client
Grand finals had to be delayed 3 hours at first and then 2 days because of client

CEVO seems to care about TF2 for now so I don't see any harm in trying to play both.
