Hey guys, after a year with my current setup, I decided that I'm not getting nearly the performance I'd like out of the PC that I was hoping for when I built my PC a year ago and would like to change that. I'm aware that it's my CPU that's really holding me down here, so the main thing I'm looking to upgrade is that (and probably have to get a new mobo too, since I'm most likely going to be switching from AMD to intel), but if you have any advice/recommendations as to what else might be good to do, feel free to let me know.
Here's my current setup:
-Motherboard - Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
-CPU - AMD FX-8350 @ 4.1GHz
-GFX - SPARKLE GTX 680 2GB
-Memory - 8GB g.skill Sniper Series (2x4GB) 1866
-Monitor - Acer GD235HZ, 120Hz (primary) + Asus VE245, 60Hz (secondary)
-Headphones - Audiotechnica ATH-M50s
-Microphone - Antlion Modmic 3.0
-Mouse - Razer DeathAdder 2013 edition
-Mousepad - Generic OCZ mousepad
-Keyboard - Logitech G710+ (brown switches)
-Cooling - Corsair H80i Liquid Cooling
I use Chris' dx9frames and I currently get around ~120-140fps on average (when in a midfight/pub) when I'm not streaming, and anywhere from 70-120fps on average when streaming. If possible, I'd like to be able to get a solid 240+ fps regardless of whether or not I'm streaming. I feel like the majority of my PC is pretty solid though, so I'm not looking to rebuild everything - Just make a minor tweak to increase performance.
I don't really have a budget, but I don't really want to spend more than about $300-350 on a new CPU/mobo combo if possible.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks ahead of time! :3
