How do i get 4:3 with AMD/1920x1080 monitor?

ValorousTFOk, so i think i may have an idea why it isn't working but i'm not sure, so i'm going to bump this thread.
Might it have something to do with my HUD not supporting 4:3? I've noticed on huds.tf that there are supported resolutions, i'll give it a try some time and see if it works.
it CANT be the hud, the hud has no control over the game resolution, an unsupported hud just means some things dont display correctly in specific aspect ratios
did you look in the monitor menu? most 1080p displays have an stretched option.

LetMeStallI'm using the preset maxperformance and I'm not able to put tf2 into dx8 mode using -dxlevel 81 in my launch options. Any ideas?
check comfig.cfg
theres a part that says "mat_dxlevel 95"
change it to "mat_dxlevel 81"

it seems that many foreigners think ALL catalans want to leave spain
its more of a 50-50 (approximatelly), the society is very divided in cataluña right now.
doesnt help that the vote was absolute bogus and you could vote 4 times or without even being a catalan citizen, and there were cases of villages of 500 that counted 1000 votes... less reliable than a strawpoll

go to your physical monitor options (buttons IRL) and browse there a bit, there should be an option
its better to enable stretching in your monitor instead of drivers if possible
