You can play as an NA player but all the matches will be on EU servers. Good thing is this game is very playable NA > EU, even as a west coast player.
The progression and monetization models they went with this patch are some of the worst I've seen. http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/1642/problems-with-the-games-progression-and-f2p-model for more info. Pretty sure the game's dead if this doesn't change.

The movement video only covers the basics. There are a lot of spots on every map where knowing proper movement is hugely advantageous. The frag video is against bads but it's the best example of proper gameplay I can show. Most videos about this game seem to be by 12 year olds or CoD players who use iron sights constatly. - linear chokepoint design that forces people to clump
- massive AoE ult that clumps, stuns enemies
- build in grenade attack, DONT EVEN HAVE TO COMBO WITH TEAMMATE LOL
- slow moving enemies that have no hope in avoiding that

Except it doesn't start at 90. Vertical and horizontal FOV are different things. If you want to compare the 92 number to TF2 then TF2's FOV is 106. Both numbers assume 16:9 aspect ratio.
So ummm how are they going to regulate people with better fps or higher refresh rates or more precise mice? All of those can give you way more of an advantage than changing your FOV, and unlike FOV can't be used by every player. What a fucking joke.
About the f2p model, I'm not sure if progression is sped up for this or not but I won like 12k points in my first game and it only takes 7200 to unlock a merc. If it stays like that this will be one of the best f2p models in recent history.
The actual gameplay is quite good but pubs don't do it justice. I've played some 5v5 pugs before the NDA lift and it was great even with 120 ping to Europe. If the MM in this game is anything like CS or Dota where people for the most part try/comm then I can see this game taking off.

I've seen people dickride notail before but this the next level. Listen notail's a cool guy but he's average for a pro and not even close to the most talented played on Secret.
Average for a pro? You never saw him be the best mid in HoN by a mile when fnatic was trashing everyone. His talent is on par with people on Secret for sure. Just because an all star player doesn't end up on staying on an all star team doesn't mean he's not good anymore. Secret was probably not meshing with him as well as they wanted so they went separate ways.
Thats cool and everything but HoN was 3-4 years ago. What has he accomplished in Dota2? Comparing him to the rest of Secret is a joke. Everyone on that team is far better and more importantly more proven than notail. Zai and Arteezy have done a lot more in much less time. Kuroky and Puppey are legends. Everyone on Secret is an elite-level player. You can't compare notail to them, so yeah he's an average pro.
