Man it's so satisfying watching shitty, over-hyped games get dumpstered.
Destiny? Check
H1Z1? Check
Overwatch? Lets make it 3 in a row baby
Dearest DB peeps:
It’s been a couple of glorious weeks of shooting, ‘splosions and witty quips, but all good things must come to a (temporary) end. We’ve had a ton of great feedback from you all, and will wrap up this phase of the Closed Beta on January 20th at 6PM PST. Dirty Bomb will then be taken offline for more features, updates, and fundamental improvements based on your experiences.
Good news for the patient types - EVERYONE who signed up for the Closed Beta at www.dirtybombgame.com before January 15th at 11:59PM PST (and all current Beta players) will get an Early-Access Period Beta key prior to the next phase of the Dirty Bomb Closed Beta on Steam.
Make the most of these last few days of the full unlocked Merc roster! You’re an awesome bunch and we can’t wait to spend more time on the wrong end of your harsh, cruel gun barrels.
<3
The Dirty Bomb Team
Basically sign up now and you get in for sure whenever they come back. I'm guessing when the game comes back it will be with all the progression systems and grind to unlock mercs. If you wanna try out every merc without grinding you have 5 days to get a key.

Forsak3nIs stermy working for this game? I heard Cooller is working for the russian version of this game.
Yeah stermy was playing today. There's also talk of some showmatch involving him, possibly him shoutcasting.
After playing a few pugs I can say that the actual gameplay has potential. The issue is pretty much everything outside of that. The loadout card system sucks, the maps need a lot of work and the whole thing is published by Nexon so expect tons of pay to win bullshit at launch. If somehow all of that is fixed then I can see this game going places.
If you're at all interested I'd suggest trying to get a key now as all classes are unlocked until Jan 20. I'll see if I can get some to post here tomorrow.
I don't think anyone can say the game won't be successful. Rather the better question is how much of the games success will come from good game design and how much will come from marketing. The stuff they showed at Blizzcon left me very unimpressed but I have a pretty cynical attitude for the most part so I can see how some people might have been wowed by it. Regardless I still signed up for the beta right away. Lets not forget the Brink fiasco where a new IP by a trusted developer that everyone claimed was going to kill TF2 (and most other FPS games) and become the new main game for everyone died a month after launch. But equally, as Bloodsire said, lets not forget how TF2 was just a kiddie game and no real FPS gamer would try to play it competitively. At this point so much is uncertain that there's not much point in making this thread.
I don't understand why everyone feels it's necessary to mention "with no developer support" every time they talk about TF2. You guys do realize that the 2 greatest esports of all time, SC:BW and CS 1.6, had absolutely no developer support. Please stop thinking that the only reason TF2 isn't a huge esport is because Valve didn't try to make it one.

Hey great job not responding to my points. I like how you used a 4 game sample size to judge a new roster, especially when they are 4 online games vs tier 2 NA teams. I think you should look into being an esports coach, I feel that there are many teams out there that could benefit from your extensive insight. Keep up the good work!

Except that's not how c9 plays. Envy used to always ditch the lane and jungle as early as possible and give Aui room to farm. In return Aui has a much higher game impact than other supports in the mid and late game. c9 never won early.
Now you have 2 players who always played the 4 position. So who's gonna get the farm (and not use it as well as Aui as Aui > notail and Misery) and who's gonna play the PLD 6 position? If they keep the same style they won't be as good with the new lineup. If they change their style how does that impact the rest of the players? I just don't see how this c9 is better than the old one.
lol what c9 is a straight downgrade. PLD and Aui made that team and as much as people like to suck notail's dick he's not gonna fill the gap. Misery has had 1 successful tournament in his entire Dota2 career and from what I hear he's incredibly toxic. This is the end of c9 being the 2nd best western taem.
Secret looks good on paper but it all depends on how they play their roles. kky is a great support but I feel like part of the reason he wanted to make Secret was to play carry again. If Secret actually play to their max potential they are probably the best western team
EG is a bit of a mystery. imo Aui = Zai in skill and Aui's more proven, plus I don't think he has the same motivation issues as Zai. I don't know anything about Sumail but the last time EG brought in a young star we all saw how they dominated so I'm sure its possible for them to be good. Then again there was the pre-sadboys roster with MSS that was complete shit so who knows. If things aren't going good I expect Aui and Fear to swap roles before any other roster changes happen.
Anyways next few months of dota =
