#2 Bind help. in Q/A Help

// not-fancy scrollwheel binds
alias firstgun slot1
alias secondgun slot2
alias firstpda slot4
alias secondpda slot5

alias togglewheel "bind mwheelup firstpda; bind mwheeldown secondpda"
alias untogglewheel "bind mwheelup firstgun; bind mwheeldown secondgun"

alias +melee "slot3;+attack"
alias -melee "-attack"
bind "mouse3" "+melee"

and then togglewheel and untogglewheel are fired and pressing and releasing shift via another alias that contains similar shit.

basically "up for primary down for secondary m3 for melee" with a modifier to make it select PDAs when I hold down shift.

i used the default scroll wheel binds up until a couple days ago where I got fed up with glitches (I have a death adder)

#49 If you could make a difference in TF2 General Discussion

There are reasons to separate comp and pubs in theorycraft, but having separate "formats" isn't one of them; pubs don't have a format and vary wildly in several regards.

#47 If you could make a difference in TF2 General Discussion

you're saying an awful lot about how good things could be and arguing with people who are trying to get more out of you, but you're not showing any understanding of what it takes to make a good "promod", neither in necessity nor in design, not even a feigned bit - you're not saying anything that a handful of people are asking for, you're ignoring the issue with this thread and focusing instead on "hey guys wouldn't it be cool if tf2 was balanced??? hype this so valve fixes the game!!!", which is a load of crap.

if someone actually managed to make a successful promod it would only split the community. we don't need that, we need valve to fix the game.

#11 Video card to stream tf2 in Hardware
frknBad example

the fact that it takes up 20-25% of my quad core CPU, which is like literally almost a whole single core since tf2 is mostly single threaded, while on the title screen of all things, is a testament to how incredibly CPU intensive it is
it wasn't a bad example, you just didn't understand it

#41 If you could make a difference in TF2 General Discussion

hey guys let's bring up the fact that tf2's balance could use a lot of work and get upset when people go on that instead of my overly specific polling question that doesn't seem to have a direct purpose

let's ask three questions and look at people who over-answer one of them but ignore the others for above reason funny

#7 Video card to stream tf2 in Hardware

clock speed only matters within a processor series
cross comparing isn't very accurate
tf2 is definitely way way way more cpu intensive than it is gpu intensive btw, this is common knowledge and you can check it out by looking at task manager while you're on the title screen.

#33: They're not OP because of teamwork; that's Jarate's problem, and it's not "broken" in my eyes. I have a feeling you have a problem with a few of my suggestions so you're judging the rest the same way.
Most of the broken weapons in the game are "broken" because they counter teamwork with solo shit, or reward unskilled play.

#102 Collection of Custom HUDs in Customization
DrewThere probably should be a whole section for huds, scripts, and any other game customizations.

i suggested that but it didn't go anywhere

>a group of HL players large enough their own forum section
more like we have a section for HL so that people don't have an excuse to shitpost about HL in HL threads

#3 Threads load incredibly slowly half the time ATVM in Bug Reports

only happens with long pages with a lot of content
EDIT: Scratch that, it's just more likely

I just checked my connection and it seems fine; I can download stuff at 1 MB/s, but I don't while browsing)
it seems to lock up at dynamic elements for me like the list of live streams or a post's +/-frag count

EDIT:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1811521/ag3f2.jpg
it was sitting here locked up on random parts of the sidebars for like a total of 7 seconds before the page finished loading
