starry-I wonder if valve made any of their own changes to the map. Should be interesting to see.
any custom map they have made official there have been changes, like with gullywash.
i hope they either a) break this cycle or b) if they do change something, make it a good change.
edit: putting your mouse over the bug pictures gives a little bit of a good laugh

starry-inb4 process ramps are stairs now
i will kill myself.
but now that i think about it, if they're trying to fix bugs, maybe they'll fucking finally fix the train tracks absorbing damage, and maybe stairs doing it too.

PlatinumMaybe they finally make granary sides even and badlands doorframes solid
I'm more worried about the rock bugs and edges where rockets do no damage at all. Spire and mid are full of them. The door frames are the least of my worries, in fact I even think they add a certain flair to the map

I'm not sure how well Standin will work in pubs because of the co-ordination needed to cap all 3 points at once, so it could just devolve into a TDM situation. Should still be fun, though.

And fix goddamn roller doors that get stuck when rolling out on granary.

How are they gonna stop badwater spawn camping??
This could be bad.

My favorite map is going to the big leagues. Even though technically ESEA is the big leagues more or less.
EDIT: Fix the damn forward spawn doors on Gullywash under mid. I've died to those stopping me all to much.

From the hover-text of the demo pic "was a good day to spawn camp while it lasted". How can spawn camping be changed ?

star's server is 100x more competent than most pubs though, b/c it tends to mostly consist of pub stompers + some HL/6s dudes here and there because of the dudes running it
can't be as bad as badlands pubs tho

This could be a prequel to the matchmaking system. Fixing the maps and all. Dunno. Just a thought.

weve been playing standin/process nonstop for the past few hours in small pub on tf2m server. standin wasnt too bad in such a small game (6v6) and a bunch of people remarked on how it was confusing at first but now they get it and they like it. thought it played pretty well.
also there is like no health which i guess was for medic's lack of usefulness in 6s, people complained about that a lot- not sure if will be changed for official version.

Finally, I've been wondering when process would be added to the game. Please tell me you got a community weapon Scorpio, this is amazing.

Dear Valve:
The #1 best thing you could do for competitive mappers (IMO) is give us Some Way to make solids that block bullets, rockets, pipes/stickies, flames, etc normally, have splash and bullet decals made on them, and yet let splash damage through. Let me make an ms paint diagram explaining what we can do for stairs right now in TF2, vs. what I want:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1811521/afwd12.png
Should we put together a "splash damage" github bug, with explanations for why mappers are doing things either way and how there isn't a particular middle ground? To shoot down certain potential alternatives, ie: invisible displacement clips with ray collision turned off; rockets still go right through those.

It didn't take long before clever players discovered how to use sentry jumping to build on roofs, Jumpers to move quickly behind enemy lines and spawn camp, and sneakily place buildings inside of their spawns. While we love players coming up with new and inventive ways to win, let's face it: It's never fun to be gunned down from above and behind.
MY BELOVED BADWATER, WHY

AbramelinI can't believe Snakewater was ignored while Standin, a map loathed by the majority of the competitive community, was made official.
I can. Notice how they praised the simple design of the maps, they appreciated the way it was easy to understand the maps when first looking at them. While not super complex, snake is more complex than process for example.
And the last point is shit.
