It's like Binotto is playing Motorsport Manager and can only afford good parts for one car so the second car is trash.

I agree, besides his car being mediocre at best currently there clearly is something wrong mentally for Seb

This comment on BBC sums it up perfectly - "The marshalls have made this race incredibly interesting. And it's all because of the stupid decision to push Magnussen's Haas 100 yards up to the pit lane instead of 5 yards to a service road. Idiocy."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
honestly im just so glad there was a fight for the win on the last lap. its been like 7 years since ive been that tense at the end of the race and i fucking loved it.
what a drive from pierre. what a race.
what a drive from pierre. what a race.
Nice to see drivers and teams properly celebrating a win/podium again.
all this makes me wonder how undriveable the rb16 and rb15 are for anyone other than max
albon and gasly are/were both good at toro rosso but struggle so much at red bull
obviously I don't expect them to be as fast as max but I it makes me think about whether or not the car is so specifically designed and developed around max's autistic driving that nobody else can properly reign it in

I read somewhere that Helmut said RB was struggeling with parts so Albon's car was more "Out of date" than Max's. Because they did not have the time to make enough parts with all the trippleheaders. But after a while you start taking most of the things Helmut says with a grain of salt.

I've seen similar articles but I feel like even with out of date parts he should be able to put out some better performances (mostly referring the qualifying). It's not like the car suddenly became the Haas vf-20 or some other shitbox. According to Gasly and Albon the car is just tough to drive in general. Obviously Max can handle it since it's a direct result of his feedback but it just seems like an excalibur-type car that only Max can unlock. I hope to be proven wrong in the future because I'd love to see whoevers in the 2nd seat do well.
in a sky interview last week(?) albon said that no teammates hes ever had set up a car more oversteery than him, until max. if albons calling the car hard to drive its sure as hell going to be hard to drive. when you combine that with the fact that max is the greatest talent to enter f1 since hamilton, i dont think more than a small handful of drivers would even be close,
that said i would love to see condifent-again pierre give it a go next season. after the last 2 years he damn well deserves it

recently bought myself a civic for $200. incredible deal considering he threw in the SF1000's brakes for free
