I'm hoping that CloudFlare does indeed help with the load (it does seem a bit more responsive now). It should at least take off the load from images and CSS and JavaScript, which frees up the server to serve the actual content.
I figured some one would have to do it so:
It's over 9000
views.

Guys I think you are blowing up the site.

Haha, I really want to see the traffic results after i49. Right now the i49 page has 11k views to the main page's 33k. Calling i49 to surpass the main page.
Man, i49 has been such a publicity boost. I'd like to thank VTV for using the comp.tf brackets instead of the Multiplay ones as their "official" brackets, it's really helped with traffic.
Well this was an amazing day for us, record number of visits and concurrent viewers, during this afternoon we rarely dropped below 100 concurrent viewers on the site, which is amazing, and really put a lot of unexpected load on the server.
We even hit 290 concurrent viewers during today's peak, that is more than amazing.
Our i49 wiki page alone went from 1k views to 16k views just today and still growing, on it's way to surpass main-page views!!
Thanks everyone that helped out keeping it updated, and thanks to everyone that visited today! It has been an extremely tiring yet very fullfiling day!
I'm really proud of both you guys running comp.tf and the TF2 community in general :)
Thanks comp.tf, your brackets and al the stuff is so much nicer than the Multiplay stuff and miles better than anything we would be making ourselves here. Saves us a ton of work, thanks!

Thanks Arie :D Good to know we're helping! I also want to thank you and the crew not only for the fantastic work but also for mentioning us on vanilla and on the stream chat as the go-to place for results.
This is really what we strive for, seeing the wiki fullfil one of it's main objectives is just pure awe for me. And receiving a compliment from you is even more satisfying as I love all your work towards the community.
Huge thanks to everyone who helped update the i49 page in almost real time as the games were going on (Atlas, ?Thesupremecommander, zoob, Merchant, etc...) this really shows the power behind a community this united.
Hope you can show our brackets in full glory on stream next time :D
I'm having some internet issues and can't access the wiki.
Let me know if you are experiencing problems accessing the site, ie long loading times, server down, etc?

Nope seems good here. Some minor issues 7ish hours ago for me with pages not loading might just have been my end.
Great work during the LAN Kaneco (and everyone involved). Really appreciate it.
I've taken the liberty of creating a class template for player pages to put the icon of their main class next to their name (a la liquipedia). Let me know if it's off-centered or whatnot
Just a thanks to comp.tf for the amazing page on i49 and the brackets!
I'm starting to work on pics for player pages, if anyone knows some of the invite/prem players could you ask them to provide a picture / take one?
I want to thank everyone in our community that helped us through the weekend.
It has been quite a wild ride, we shot from average 200 daily visits to over 6k visits yesterday. So much that our server had trouble keeping up with the huge influx of visits. At any given time through yesterday we had more than 100 people online checking the brackets, the fact that we were a trustable and up-to-date source means a lot to us. We want to be the liquipedia of tf2, more than that we want to be comp.tf, a go-to place to know everything about our scene. I think we did the job quite well this weekend.
Thanks to everyone that helped updating the brackets and game results as they were coming in, thanks to everyone that visited us over the weekend, thanks to vtv and the crew for mentioning us and linking us as the go-to place.
Thanks tf2 community for everything!
Here are some stats from this amazing weekend

Our i49 page remains a staple of what we want our wiki to be and a prime example of what community contribution can do, I can honestly say I am very proud of what was accomplished.
You can always recap everything i49 related in the link below

If you want to help out our wiki just head to our wiki and make sure to read the editing guidelines first.
After this I am much more confident of our potential and that we will be capable of running a great newbie cup as well!
Kaneco-snip-
Dang that is a TON of people. Good job Kaneco!
sashShould add a players/team page :D
Not sure what you mean by that. There are pages for all of the invite groups and for most of their players.
And it's a wiki so you can just add things :D.
nice job with the i49 page, it kept me updated!
navigating around the official multipage link was horrid... especially on mobile.
I am pleased to announce that 1. I have stolen Kaneco's job of announcing things and 2. the ESEA-I S14 page at: http://comp.tf/wiki/ESEA-I_Season_14 has been now updated to include summaries of all regular season matches using the Template:Team_results done by Thesupremecommander.
You can check them out at: http://comp.tf/wiki/ESEA-I_Season_14#Results. Just hit expand under the matches tab by any team. :)
Edit: Also should mention that you can also find examples at http://comp.tf/wiki/Insomnia49#Results but the open groups C and D aren't done yet.

Yeah, i49 was created before the advent of the template, and I want to get back to converting the old results and inserting the new results eventually.
Meanwhile, however, I'm working on a script to mostly automate the process of creating regular season tables complete with team results by pulling them from ESEA, which should help the process go by much faster. I actually used a prototype last night to make the regular season tables for every previous season of Invite.

Nice! That would make it a heck of a lot easier.
So i have little policy question in the Editors To Do List it states that
Pictures + competitively-focused descriptions of each weapon on its class's page. - Use the Templates!
but i have seen pages like the Boston Basher my question is should there be individual weapon pages (Maybe for important weapons) or should it be done like the Engineer page with the links in page? This comes up because Special:WantedPages would really be helped by links either to pages that will be created or to the specific part of the class page.
PS
is there a better place to post this no one is ever in the irc.

Sorry for the late answer. I haven't had a lot of time lately between lans and work and as I posted in the newbie cup thread I have been holding off promoting the wiki until I made some important decisions about the future of comp.tf, and it will be another couple of days until I have that stuff cleared up.
Regarding your question, well every page is accepted reasonable as long as there is enough content for a separate page. For example, I reckon with enough content gunboats would definitely be worth its own page, while on the other hand, the bonesaw probably wouldn't.
So you are free to create individual weapon pages as long as there is enough content for it. Special:Wanted pages just how you mentioned is a good starting point.
And regarding the IRC, well, I don't really use IRC that often but I will try to change that, I just need as I said to clear up some stuff before going full force with the wiki again
