But yeah let's bring back those team skins, they were pretty cool and look proffesional in a cast.

1. teams need consistent and proper logos (looking at you EU teams)
2. the plugin that took care of that doesn't work anymore and/or doesn't come with template team jersey files
3. the team jerseys would be assigned per steamid, so doing stuff for regular season with mercs would suck
4. find an artist willing to slave away and make 9 class jerseys for 8+ teams
Not saying it can't be done, but even if you do the low budget ghetto solution with simple texture overrides you are basically screwed when teams decided to swap sides between maps (or even halves)

I dont know how much of a pain it is to get the plugin to work and everything, but it would certainly bring some hype

elevate's definitely looked the best, especially with red being the primary colour in their logo.

Personally I didn't enjoy looking at them on stream, thought it made the game less clear

these are super sick and I absolutely love seeing them, however statusSpec hasn't been updated in years and there was a *shitton* of work put into in-game team jerseys, especially every time we had new teams or new orgs pick up teams
Unfortunately a lot of the time when a thread pops up and asks "why don't we do x anymore?" there's one of two pretty conclusive answers
1) said action was a hardcore time/effort sink and there's no one with the knowledge, freetime, and drive to do it for free
2) no one's running around with the money to pay anyone to work these projects
I think that these would be definitely neat to bring back for major events (Prem/Invite playoffs, online cups with large draws, LAN events) but unless someone with the skillset decides to work on it I don't see these coming back
